6:28 yes. Everything, but a squeeze of lemon, upon serving. A mid-week meal is not meant to be a hassle, and I promise, Italian people do things like this. Everyone everywhere cooks differently when it is private than they might with guests. Everyone wants a quick way to make a tasty meal.🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🥰💗💗💗💗💗💗💖💐💐💐👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💋💋💋🇺🇸🌸

Can we please have a one pot pass it on?
Each person has to add at least 1 ingredient.
It all has to be made in the one pot, no other baking pans or fry pans or pots allowed.
    First name alphabetical order.
    Thanks. 🙂

IT'S NOT IN 15 MINUTES IF THE CHICKEN IS PRE-COOKED. Otherwise, I love the recipe.

Any thoughts on a substitute if I don't want to use cream? Or this only a place to comment on the looks and antics of the Sorted crew?

I'm Italian, I lived and worked in London, in kitchens for 4 years.

This kind of things used to shock me, but I'm not a traditionalists anymore, cus I tried them myself, and God it works, obviously is not the same as taking 1 hour to let all the flavors get in there, but for a quick meal that's fine.

The only complaint I have about this specific dish are the ingridients. Too much stuff, it doesn't seem to recall pesto at all.

I mean, I get spinach, but why asparagus and chicken?

So pls, if you name a specific condiment, at least try to stay as close as possible to that 😅

I dont hate one pot recipes, but the washing up part is really exagerated. Let's say you cook for 2, you need:
2 plates, 2 forks, 1 board, 1 knife, one grater, one pot
in a more traditional recipe you need 2 forks, 2 plates, 1 board, 1 knife, one grater, 2 pots
So the difference in washing up is not 50% like it might seem
also a pot for boiling pasta is super easy to clean because it only comes in contact with water, it's not like frying meat where bits can stick to the pan

So, I’m super late to the Sortedfoods party but I was really intrigued by this recipe and since I’ve always found it so, so odd (as a part Greek/Italian) to cook pasta with everything else so, I just HAD to try it out and boy, am I glad I did! I did not entirely follow your recipe, I just omitted the basil and parsley and used pre-made basil pesto and added oregano and a splash of almond milk (since I’m lactose intolerant so, I took out all of the dairy too) in with everything else as is and it was perfect! I’m sure I shouldn’t have skipped those ingredients but…I was in a time crunch (obviously since I was trying a 15 minute, one pot meal)🤷🏽‍♀️. Lol anyway, this is a great recipe

Ben what have you done, i can stand everything you have done, like the KitKat lasagne or saying that is pesto, but cracking the spaghetti…hope you are happy ti know that everytime you do that an italian dies horribly

Here's my favorite one pot dish. Rice cooker mushroom and chicken rice. 1.5 cups of rice(washed) 1/4 onion & 3 garlic cloves chopped and sauteed with 2tbsp sesame oil. Chicken thighs, chopped into chunks. Any kind of chinese mushrooms (shiitake, enoki or shimeji). 2 tbsp Soy sauce, 2 tbsp oyster sauce, salt to taste. Dump all the ingredients into a rice cooker, pour 2 cups of water, turn it on and leave to cook. When the rice cooker finishes cooking, stir the rice and serve.

I can make this dish any night because I make pesto and freeze it, minus the parmesan. Then while your pasta, veg and meat cook, your frozen pesto is thawing and you grate your parmesan. Mix in the saute pan, voila.
