🥊 Floyd Mayweather vs Jose Luis Castillo II | FULL FIGHT | WBC/RING Lightweight Titles | 7/12/2002
Floyd Mayweather Jr. 28–0 (20 KO) vs. José Luis Castillo 46–5–1 (42 KO) II was a professional boxing match contested on December 7, 2002 for the WBC and The Ring lightweight titles.
Mayweather and Castillo had fought eight months earlier with Mayweather prevailing with a unanimous decision. The decision was seen as controversial as Castillo had clearly outpunched Mayweather 203 to 157 and landed over 100 more power punches than Mayweather.
The fight’s promoter Bob Arum, while not necessarily saying Mayweather didn’t win, called the scoring for the fight, with Mayweather having won comfortably by five points on one scorecard and four points on the other two, “ludicrous” and vowed that he would attempt to schedule a rematch on August 10 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles with the bout being carried on HBO pay-per-view rather than on cable. However, Arum’s plans were scuttled when Mayweather refused to fight in Los Angeles, claiming he could not trust the judges and did not want to fight in front of what expected to be a largely Mexican crowd that would be in favor of Castillo.
As a result of Mayweather’s refusal to fight in Los Angeles, the fight was rescheduled to take place in Nevada’s Mandalay Bay Events Center on October 5 with the fight happening on a standard telecast of HBO World Championship Boxing rather than on HBO pay-per-view.
In preparation for the rematch with Mayweather, Castillo took a tune-up fight with Verdell Smith, defeating him by third-round knockout in his native Mexico in early August.
While training for the fight in late September, Castillo developed a case of Achilles tendinitis, resulting in the fight being postponed until December 7. Though Castillo was expected to be healed by October 19, Arum opted to move the fight to December so as to avoid competition from the 2002 World Series.
Originally, the Mayweather–Castillo rematch was to be the main event of a boxing card that featured WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko defending his title against Jameel McCline as the featured undercard bout. However, when Mayweather no-showed a press conference promoting the card three days before the event, Arum, having tired of Mayweather’s antics, decided to flip the two fights with the Klitschko–McCline bout taking the main event slot, while the Mayweather–Castillo fight was moved to the undercard.

Did Floyd LOSE⁉️ Floyd Mayweather vs Jose Luis Castillo I I WBC/RING Lightweight Title | 20/4/2002
José Luis Castillo 45–4–1 (41 KO) vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. 27–0 (20 KO), billed as Clash of the Champions, was a professional boxing match contested on April 20, 2002, for the WBC and The Ring lightweight titles.
Immediately following his eighth successful title defense over Jesús Chávez in November 2001, reigning WBC super featherweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. announced that after 27 fights in the division, the Chávez fight would be his last as a super featherweight and he would be moving up to lightweight to challenge the WBC lightweight champion José Luis Castillo. Mayweather admitted his decision was influenced by his struggles to make the 130-pound super featherweight limit saying in a post-fight interview that he had not eaten in the four days prior to fighting Chávez in order to make the weight.
Though he was coming into his first fight at lightweight, Mayweather, ranked as one of the best pound-for-pound fighter, was a 5–1 favorite over Castillo. However, Mayweather ran into trouble in the month preceding the fight when he was convicted on two counts of domestic violence though he accepted a plea bargain and was given a suspended sentence, avoiding prison and allowing him to go through with his fight with Castillo. In an article in the Las Vegas Sun, lawyer John Moran III questioned as to why Mayweather was still licensed to box in Nevada given his numerous legal troubles, though Mayweather’s then-promoter Bob Arum defended Mayweather and denied his personal problems would affect his fight against Castillo stating that Mayweather was “really focused. Honestly, he doesn’t appear distracted at all.

🤬GRUDGE MATCH! David Haye vs Tony Bellew I | FULL FIGHT | Sky Sports Box Office | 4th March 2017
David Haye 28–2 (26 KO) vs. Tony Bellew 28–2–1 (18 KO), billed as Grudge Match, was a professional boxing match contested on 4 March 2017.
Since making his 2016 comeback, David Haye had collected two quick stoppage victories over relatively unknown opponents.
In October, following his win over BJ Flores, WBC cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew immediately hit the ringside Haye with a verbal assault referring to him as ‘Sideshow Bob’. This continued in the post-fight interview with Bellew stating Haye has been ‘conning the British public’ since he announced his comeback.
Bellew’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, claimed the fight could take place at heavyweight or at cruiserweight for Bellew’s WBC title.
On 25 November 2016, Hearn announced on Twitter that Haye and Bellew would face each other in a heavyweight bout on 4 March 2017 at The O2 Arena, London.
The fight was to be shown on Sky Box Office and would be Bellew’s first heavyweight fight. Haye started as the odds-on favourite.

🤬”I’m getting ready to PUSH BACK‼️ When Bernard Hopkins lost it with Setanta Sports #Throwback
🤬”I’m getting ready to PUSH BACK‼️
Throwback to when Bernard Hopkins lost it with Setanta Sports during the build-up to his bout with Wales’ Joe Calzaghe.
The legendary fighter was furious with the conditions at which he was hosted in during his stay in London.
Safe to say a visibly nervous Buncey handled it like a champ.
