Written recipe from the video for the Pea Fritters and Carrot Salad. Mainly for my own benefit but maybe for yours too <3;
1. Defrost 250g Peas, chop mint while defrosting
2. Once done, make a batter around peas. Self-Raising Flour, Feta Cheese, Yogurt, Cumin, Chilli Flakes and about 100ml of milk until you have a "fritter consistancy" (Falls off spoon in wet clumps) (About one serving spoon's worth of flour and yogurt, didnt give measurements sadly)
3. With a big spoon, dollop 4 fritters into a walm, shimmering pan of oil (Keep the pan on low heat I'd imagine)
4. Whilst the fritters fry on one side, make a dressing. Zest and Juice 2 Limes, Grate a clove of Garlic, some more Yogurt and the Mint.
5. Fritters should be Crispy and Golden on one side and half cooked through. Flip them c: . Once fully cooked they should be gooey in the middle from the melted cheese but not paste-y
6. Peel a number of Carrots into Ribbons into the bowl of dressing then mix it in
7. Plate up the Salad and then the Fritters, Crumble some extra Feta over the top then Serve and Enjoy! <3

I've maybe not been the most forgiving in my comments under these videos, but I'm really gaining a pretty big respect for these guys.
There are things I question, things I would do differently, things that are a little out of touch with the general public, but overall, they're giving us some really solid skills and recipes to make more unusual dishes using accessible ingredients.

I just had coriander for the first time y’all!!! Inspired by watching y’all use herbs and seasonings like bay leaves, coriander, cumin, etc. just so often like it’s normal! Where I’m from in the south of the US the only seasonings we use are onion powder, garlic salt and paprika 😂. I bought some dried bay leaves months ago and still haven’t used them yet and finally ground up the coriander seeds and did a garlic, butter, coriander crusted pork chops and it was SO GOOD!
I’m on the keto diet and getting bored after over 2 years (about 1.5 years on the diet total) of the same boring food. I can’t wait to use coriander again and try new seasonings!!!!

Make two guys cook three meals in 45 minutes = Look at the chaos, no planning, no organization, you guys need the help of a chef.
Make one chef cook three meals in 90 minutes = you can cook like this too if you use our app.

I just need to say guys. Been following you for years and years, and I'm obsessed with this angle you have taken so committedly on reducing waste. It is not only fun and amazing for your wallet, its environmentally friendly too and for that, I am so so thankful to you

When Mike and Barry had a lump of ginger and half the bag of mint left over, my brain immediately went to "get me two jugs, hot water, and brown sugar". Throw in a slice of lemon as well, and you have some nice tea to go with the curry-ish dish.

I feel like they’re so harsh about what’s considered food waste. According to them this is 3 days of food. Surely a raw carrot will last longer than that and you can toss it into literally whatever other dish you make that week
@MarcellaMarcSmith
December 27, 2023 at 7:04 am
You guys should do a mint free lamb episode all the recipes i can find are either lamb curry of minty. I'm allergic to mint.

i never thought about having to buy mint. growing up my family had just huge patches of mint growing alongside our house. we'd dry a bunch of them every fall and have mint tea all winter.

I do love the idea behind the packs app, but videos like these always show me why I don't use it. If it was just me, the ingredients I eat would be lamb, carrots, chives and coconut milk, if it's me and my husband, we're down to just the coconut milk 😀
@zacharyhagan818
December 27, 2023 at 7:04 am
I think that's the first time I've heard them explain exactly what their app is for. Three meals, one shopping list, all ingredients used throughout the week. I'm more interested in it now.

December 27, 2023 at 7:04 am
I really, really admire your idea on making no food waste, attracting more people into cooking by suggesting recipes with less cooking time yet delicious, your effort of making such brilliant app like Side Kick, your passion on food…! All these years I've never actually tried out recipes you've shown from the videos, but with this video, it really made me want to try out your recipe. I love how smoothly Ben goes around in the kitchen, and how humble and cooperative Mike and Barry when not only making their dishes but also sharing food team's idea. I'm always learning a lot from your videos, thank you!! <3

Id love to have the chef start with the full bag then the normals have to come up with something that the chef has left. Also have the chef not watching so it get unveiled to him at the end. Think would be carnage

Looking at Barry and Mike is so much fun, hehehe… Had loads of laugh on this episode, and Barry is so cute munching on the carrot scraps. Reminds me of my kid asking me for carrot scraps when I'm cooking.
