Best. Blooper. Ever. Shock, confusion and Barry's genuine alarm at Ebber's saying something he may not want caught on camera. He knew! 🤣

Curry actually comes from an old english word.

I believe the word curry comes from the north Indian dish called karhi/kadhi which is actually pronounced curry. The dh is an almost hard r sound. Curry just has soft English r.

Crispy onions are using for garnish not typically for the curry base.

Curry is a word British people invented when they could not understand Indian food. For them everything is curry

Curry is such a beautiful in-depth meal that I, much like most people, don’t really appreciate. The Tikka Masala was created in the UK, but the stereotype is that curry is Indian, but what I think we can all agree on is that india have developed curry as a dish and it’s great seeing an expert like Karan provide an insight into his expertise of such a beautiful dish cooked from scratch. Curry is a great midweek meal after work with the sauce out of a jar, mushrooms and chicken cooked off while rice bubbles away and there’s a lovely dinner in 20 minutes with a lovely garlic naan, but curry is such a fine art that is unappreciated to all us normals, going to an Indian restaurant is great for experimenting but knowing how recipes differ so that the same dish will differ between restaurants doesn’t allow us to truly appreciate the depth of curry. Such a fantastic and intriguing dish, and it’s no surprise that yet again the uk has created something and the idea has been improved drastically elsewhere, and we’ve stolen that work and enjoy it for ourself 😂😂 we’re good as a nation at engineering, but most of us drive foreign cars with Ford being the only notable English car company, most technology coming from China and Malaysia, with the innovation coming from the us, we steal everything and benefit from everyone else’s work 😂😂 we are the literal definition of a free rider in economic terms, we don’t put anything towards the end product but enjoy the full benefit of the end product, the uk are the bad guys of the world we’re just lucky we pretend to be the police of the world, it’s like spurs pretending to be a big club, its an ongoing facade that most of us aren’t really sure how we managed to make it happen but everyone has been bamboozled by it for long enough, but we’ll be found out soon enough I can see the headlines already, Japan recalls all vehicles and refuses to export others to uk because of controversial prime minister, no more Kia, no more Toyota 😂😂 roads would be empty, would be warfare between the crazy Audi drivers and the insane bmw motorists 😂😂

I love the fact that Sorted have been able to grow and begin to form relationships with other special guests who can provide expertise and new knowledge, and it’s always a bonus when they’re not camerashy and instead energetic and entertaining. It’s nice seeing people like Karan appearing in multiple videos with different themes as a guest, benefits both parties and it’s nice seeing the guys grow and expand and form relationships with local chefs as well!

I decided to use a box of Shan butter chicken mix. I didn’t follow any direction. You know because why would I. I ended up using the whole packet. I nearly blew my head off. Once I got past the ability to breathe I couldn’t stop eating it.

Usually cooking spices vary amongst south asians, indians and sri lankans make curry paste, but pakistanis and Bengalis, do not because we want the spices to be cooked properly…

In the Indian state of Maharashtra, there are two curries named after colour: red curry and white curry. And they're very popular and extremely spicy 🥵

    December 27, 2023 at 6:02 am

Just a teeny tiny thing, the Tamil word "Kari" is actually pronounced the same way you pronounce Curry in your accent, I don't know why Karan decided to pronounce it as "Carry" lol maybe to differentiate the two? I don't know but just fyi because I don't want you guys to go to the native place and say "Carry" thinking you're being phonetically correct when "Curry" is perfect as it is and pronounced the same way in Tamil 😂

Yeah I hated this, i felt like none of you were where you wanted to be, I'm not even going to say but that's just my opinion…. Cringe all around

  28. @SquishableGirl

    December 27, 2023 at 6:02 am

I did wonder if Jamie, Barry, and Mike purposely let themselves do some things wrong so that they would be a good contrast to get a good video. It's okay if they did. I love the idea that two people (or groups) could get exactly the same ingredients and amounts and get such different results. I often think they should do cooking contests at fairs like that to really test skills.

I feel like we're watching The Three Stooges XD These guys are WAY overcomplicating curry. Even the pro does. I've done the same curries in 3 steps and in 7 steps and you literally cannot tell the difference.
