Coronavirus intensive care: patients speak about their battle for survival – BBC News

Along with Prime Minister Boris Johnson, thousands of the most seriously ill coronavirus patients are being admitted to hospital intensive care wards. The BBC’s Medical Correspondent Fergus Walsh and cameraman Adam Walker have been given rare access to the intensive care ward at University College Hospital in London, one of the leading critical care centres in the UK. Huw Edwards presents BBC News at Ten coverage on the way the hospital has transformed its ways of working in response to the coronavirus crisis. And the stories of patients who have survived the illness after undergoing intensive care treatment.
