    Everybody is calling TM.
She is only doing her "banker bosses" bidding.
Her deal is the most they will allow her to give away. Don't forget her deal does not contain any details on trade etc We may end up staying in the single market and customs union even under her deal.
It's all smoke and mirrors to make out we've come out but we're still in – except we won't have a say on anything.

It will take 3-4 years or even longer to do the trade deals.

Then – wait for it – Oh! we might as well stay in.

The BBC news today: parents being fined for their children's holidays is up 93% . Their children's education matters SO much even a day or two without being in school and without teachers teaching them, would be a catastrophe. UNLESS, of course, it's teachers striking or teachers encouraging them to go on demo's for climate change, then it doesn't matter a fu** The teachers at state schools are such total scumbags, so totally unworthy – but then we all know that.

Well, May's speech from No 10 on the 20th proves she is Hitler reincarnated. Lets face it 'It is my way or nothing' fits the bill for a supreme dictator. Then all those approvals to sell arms to Saudi to murder tens of thousands in Yemen and destroy their homes, businesses and infrastructure. Still her husband earns loads of money since he is involved with the company selling the armaments. Did she then have a conscience? She did send millions of tax payers money to help a few of the people in Yemen who were not killed by UK armaments.

Then there is the UK government who took us into the Iraq war and started the Arab Spring which caused millions of dispossessed fellow humans from the middle east to come to Europe since our intervention destroyed their countries. May is still spending our tax payers money paying for war games around Russia and in the China seas. But that is what dictators do! The MP's in government need to get a doctorate for the positions they hold as they are totally incompetent and let our 'leaders/dictators' do what ever they want.
Another wasted trip to the EU dictators. They have said it is possible for us to get an extension to article 50, but already a number of countries will veto this and in any event if it is subject to UK parliament approving HER deal, gosh, just seen 1 million pigs fly by my window.

The other problem we face is the fact most of the MP's are totally incompetent and let our leaders/dictators do what ever they want so may should face charges for war crimes. Have any MP's got a conscience and a backbone?

Is May a robot that has only been programmed to promote HER deal? Or is she working for the unelected German mafia who want us to stay in the EU so they can control us for ever, destroy our country and bleed us dry to prop up the failing EU experiment?

We should leave under our terms, not those of the EU dictators. The fact that they have offered such a controlling set of terms, just confirms that the main reason for leaving – the overbearing dictatorship on the terms of our membership – would remain under the current terms on offer. Leave with NO DEAL NOW! We should have done this the day after the referendum result since all this uncertainty has already done so much damage to the UK!

Close the House of Commons. Let the House of Lords run the country. I would not vote for the CONservatives or the Labour Party for any sum of money!

I voted Remain, but I want no-deal. If I'm wrong (along with the vast majority of experts) that it will be a disaster, that's good, because unlike Brexiteers I don't take it personally when I'm proven wrong. If I'm right (along with the vast majority of experts) that it will be a disaster, then I get to laugh while Brexiteers suffer.

Why does May think she can accomplish something she couldn’t do in 3 years by a short extension to June 2019! She couldn’t do it if she had until 3019! Just get a whole new negotiation team. Fire the current team. Fire May! She hasn’t a clue! May has been the weakest PM ever! Disgrace to the UK!

  29. @diego-rv8sm

    January 11, 2024 at 10:32 pm

I have listed carefully to Tusk and May and both have been precisely say that the SHORT extension will be given only if the deal is approved by the HC. However, neither Tusk nor May have stated that in the case the deal is rejected a LONG extension couldn’t take place.
I believe this can be a May/Tusk strategy to force her deal to be passed, but if it is rejected it doesn’t not necessarily mean a no deal Brexit.

US hits ‘dozens’ of Iranian sites in strikes, as Iran targets US bases in region | BBC News

Published

on

The US said it has hit “dozens” of Iranian military targets in overnight attacks, in response to Iran hitting commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

The military said it struck “air-defense systems, coastal radar sites, missile and drone capabilities, and small boats”, using aircraft, ships, and drones – including “one-way attack sea drones for the first time”.

“The Strait of Hormuz is a vital maritime corridor for global trade,” the US military said. “Iran does not control it”.

In response, Iran said it targeted US bases in Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait and also radar systems in Oman.

Trump demands 20% toll on cargos passing through strait of Hormuz | BBC News

Published

on

President Donald Trump has said the US is reinstating a naval blockade of Iranian ports and will impose a 20% charge on all cargo shipped through the Strait of Hormuz following days of escalating strikes between the two countries.

He said this would stop “Iran’s ships or customers” from entering or leaving the key oil shipping route, but “all other countries will have fair and open use of the Strait”.

Iran’s foreign minister later said whoever provides safe passage “should be compensated for this service”, but Iran would remain the strait’s “GUARDIAN” – using Trump’s word.

Tehran and Washington clashed over the strait’s control after exchanging strikes in the region overnight and on Monday.

The US said it carried out strikes against military targets in Iran, targeting air defence systems, coastal radars, and missile and drone sites. Iran said it responded by striking US military bases in Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain, and radars in Oman.

Explosions have been heard near two Iranian port cities, Bandar Abbas and Bushehr, state media has reported.

It comes after another night of strikes between the US and Iran, with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps saying it hit two UAE tankers in the Strait of Hormuz and targeted US facilities in Jordan and Bahrain.

The UAE called the attack “brazen”, adding that an Indian crew member was killed and eight others were injured.

Meanwhile, the US military says it completed strikes on targets aimed at degrading “Iran’s ability to attack commercial shipping” – Iranian state media reports three people were killed.

US launches more strikes on Iran and resumes naval blockade of ports | BBC News

Published

on

The US military said it was carrying out a new wave of strikes on targets in Iran. It said the aim of the attacks was to degrade Iran’s ability to attack shipping in the strait of Hormuz. It came ass the US Navy resumed its blockade of Iran’s ports.

Iran said that control of the strait of Hormuz was required for its national security and it will exercise sovereignty over the key shipping lane, whatever the cost.

President Trump announced that he was scrapping a plan he had announced a day earlier, for placing a 20% toll or tariff on all cargos passing through the strait of Hormuz.

Clive Myrie presents BBC News at Ten reporting by Sarah Smith in Washington.
