Cut immigration and build more houses.

Demand and supply. But expecting a Tory to understand this is not going to happen.

Give the million plus social homes given to legal eu migrants back to English people and kick out the burdens we would have whole cities empty for English people to hit in England. The majority of Birmingham would be emptied.

Err, just a mo, the 'Help to buy schemes' were abandoned/removed, so why in hell would Anybody take a chance on an ( initial ) scheme that doesn't protect them Long term, that's what the Government should be creating, but then they KNOW they can't guarantee that type of play!
I live in Council Protery as a tenant and NEVER received anything in terms of Self Buy schemes to help me get on the property ladder, so why must it be solely 1st time buyers, why not Council Tenants to help raise the bar!!!!????🤔😏😒😔
Again another plug and trying to [ LOOK GOOD ] and failing by the wayside like all the ( SCHEMES) that Richie and his Mob have made false promises on, annnndddd Failed dismally!!!!

Most house builders are private or PLC companies who want to maximise profit using the Linear programming mathematical modelling which means homes only built to maximise profit in the current area for shareholder dividends and CEO bonuses. Look, no one cares about you the plebs and wannabe get on the property ladder and grease corporate ladder. Hahaha. Mr AI, Robot and Drone bot have more chance of buying a home than a pleb aged 18 to 30 years old. Hahaha. Poor fools.

First time around help to buy benefitted—-guess who? The large building companies— made increasing profits thanks to taxpayer handout. The only way to help all property buyers is to build more houses, this will, not be done by commercial house builders as the current situation suits them very well. It requires a 20 year programme, which will need as its components , training more people for the construction industry, building more social housing by councils and housing associations, reform of planning restrictions ( including reform of green belts), better quality housing — better insulated housing to cut heating costs— ( so better planning and building control departments in councils). There is no quick fix that will suddenly produce more houses. This problem has been in the making for 30 odd years and will take that sort of timescale to solve.

looking at how many Daily mail reader are going to bite this fake carrot. I remembered when the Tories said that they would make everything better than Labour… Now we are in a cost-of-living crisis, with a employment shortage ( that's why the quese is so long at the gas station, the GP surgery and the supermarket and freezing in our own homes while the politicians have wild parties and sex with their mistresses in government buildings and watch porn on the benches…Great job all.

The Tories could deliver a cure to all cancers and achieve world peace & at this point I still would refuse to vote for these two faced traitors… The conservative in name only Tories & woke Labour's decades of stranglehold on parliament has been a total disaster. Both need to be removed from power, with a new party in government and opposition if this country has any chance of recovery.

Zia Yusuf delivers a scathing critique of both the Conservative and Labour parties, accusing them of failing the British public on immigration and foreign aid. In this explosive segment, the Reform UK Home Affairs spokesperson claims the country has experienced “the biggest wave of untrammelled mass immigration ever seen,” placing the blame squarely on successive governments.

Yusuf outlines why Reform UK is launching a new inquiry into what he calls the “Boriswave,” arguing that border policies under recent leadership have left the UK exposed. He raises concerns about public safety, national priorities, and whether the current system is truly serving the interests of the British people.

In this week’s Chopper’s Political Podcast, Christopher Hope is joined by Tom Harwood and Katherine Forster to examine the growing debate around the UK state pension and the “triple lock.”

With Reform UK now joining other major parties in backing the policy, the discussion explores why the triple lock remains politically untouchable, despite rising concerns over its long-term cost. The panel breaks down how the system works, why it was introduced, and how it has helped reduce pensioner poverty, while also raising questions about fairness between generations.

They also look at the mounting financial pressures facing the UK, including the rising cost of pensions, slow economic growth, and an ageing population. Could the triple lock become unsustainable in the future? And if so, what alternatives might be considered?
