This is a really interesting recipe guys but it's not a pavlova. It's a double decker meringue. Pavlova has a light, chewy marshmallow inner with very high, crisp walls.

Carol Petrosius says it's a mocha pavlova.. mixing coffee and chocolate

I am watching these in a random order and noticed how many different colours you used of the kitchen appliances (I'm certain I saw that mixer in blue, red and yellow yesterday!) Did they send you a massive bulk order of everything in every colour? or is it to do with the passing years – did you have to get new ones because the others broke?

Should be called moka not cappuccino. No chocolate in cappuccino.

Lattes are creamier than cappuccinos. Cappuccinos are basically horribly bitter foam.
Lattes have all of the cream (well… milk) in there with the espresso.

origin is New Zealand but as always Australia tends to take the credit for all good and great things. You guys should make a Ferrero Rocher Pav with hazelnut creme and roasted hazelnut on top- amazing.

Cappuccino IS just coffee — mocha is coffee with chocolate — cappuccino is coffee with enough milk in it that it is the color of the robes of Cappuccine monks — hence the name. Might be a sprinkle of cocoa on top, but it's not a chocolate drink. So no need to apologize that it's "just coffee."

"It has been claimed that meringue was invented in the Swiss village of Meiringen and improved by an Italian chef named Gasparini in the 18th century. However this claim is contested; the Oxford English Dictionary states that the French word is of unknown origin. It is sure nevertheless that the name meringue for this confection first appeared in print in François Massialot's cookbook of 1692." — Without meringue, there is no Pavlova, so thank the Italian or the French. For all we know, it came out of Africa like the rest of us. 🙂 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meringue

LOL…… Try something other than MINT, Ben. Lemon Verbena, Lemon Balm, Fennel Fronds, Melissa, Chamomile Flowers, Violets, etc….

The name pavlova came from a hotel chef in Wellington (NZ) who had seen Anna Pavlova perform The Dying Swan on her 1926 and he believed that her tutu resembled a meringue and hence the pavlova was born mic drop

Cappuccino actually refers to the color — coffee with milk added is the color of the robes of the Capuchin monks. So no need to apologize for calling the coffee-flavored whipped cream cappuccino — because it is the right color. Besides, what is cappuccino if not coffee with cream?
