So… despite this bill parliament is being prorogued anyway? How does that work – explain, please!

The bliss of European politicians would remain, even if Brexit seemed a likely outcome. The politicians want to look serious, even sombre, but the general European public is mostly careless about Brexit. Most of us won't be affected in any significant manner. My main motivation to stop car-crash Brexit is that I feel sorry for the Remainers who will suffer; with no particular fault from their part. But, of course, I won't be blackmailed by Boris Johnson on that basis.

Why the UK house is so funny?
The speakers are shouting like little children.

Is there any way the exit process could expire that would result in the UK remaining with the EU rather than having a no-deal Brexit?

Is there a sense among the British people that about half their political leadership is actively trying to destroy the state? Because it certainly looks like that.

Hey TDLR, on my YouTube main page, when I scrolled down, this video was under “Cartoons-Topic, recommended videos!” I took a picture and can send it to you. Do you think someone at YouTube is having a laugh at you or your government?

  15. @TheVocalDeviant

    January 2, 2024 at 12:24 pm

Isn't this already irrelevant anyway? He doesn't have to "force" a no deal, if the legal default is a no deal without a deal agreed; in other words if Boris doesn't request an extension, then it's a no deal regardless.

I voted leave in the referendum and given the chance again with what I know now I’d vote to stay. I’m starting to notice the extra cost in Tesco and I’m not gonna dent I loved Boris Johnson as mayor of London but that is what he should of stayed.

    THIS IS ORDAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

It may be tradtion to conduct things this way in the British parliament, but on the other hand the whole of the UK really looks ridiculous enough now. Quirky stuff is only charming if there is substance behind it. Otherwise is just looks as mad as it is.

  22. @dvz19777

    January 2, 2024 at 12:24 pm

This whole thing has been such a disaster because of money. Money. The rich don't want to pay tariffs on their goods and services they move around the EU and are pulling strings in parliament.

  23. @anomarios

    January 2, 2024 at 12:24 pm

  24. @kaushk8917

    January 2, 2024 at 12:24 pm

I am literally getting ptsd with the definition of prorogation…

  25. @1HiddenSecret

    January 2, 2024 at 12:24 pm

all that matters is article 57…. it clearly states that when there is no deal reached then the U.K will leave without a deal… i.e The E.U is the one that executes the contract…. not the English parliament. So it doesn;t matter what they vote. It doesn't matter what the U.K parliament wants it only matters what the E.U accepts and rejects.

  26. @rollosinternet1853

    January 2, 2024 at 12:24 pm

It would have been a democratic decision had the referendum demanded a quaified majority, say 60%. As it was, with a stupidly narrow majority based on many lies and half truths, that result cannot be called democratic. And it is horribly ironic that those suposedly defending democracy can even think about proroguing Parliament, precisely where British sovereignty resides, or call traitors to the other half. There was a clear generational gap in the vote direction, and 3 years since many old voters have died and many young people can vote. A second referendum, with a qualified majority is the only option to close this social division. More facts, less unicorns.

  27. @kasper7203

    January 2, 2024 at 12:24 pm

I have completely lost faith in the English. But I still hold the Scottish in high regard. Is it possible for the United Kingdom to break up and for a country like Scotland to become independent and keep it's ties with the EU

  28. @kasper7203

    January 2, 2024 at 12:24 pm

A country in such a diplomatic mess should not be exercising military power to opress a free democratic nation unprevoked, while they can't even come to an agreement over the mess they themselves caused.

    Freedom for Iran!

  29. @rontap7146

    January 2, 2024 at 12:24 pm

Okay, I have been following/subbed to TLDR news from late 2017, and this is where i had enough.
Videos begin with a 70sec self promotion and a 40sec self promotion. Where is the TLDR in that? I understand you guys prioritize getting new users over user retention, but this is just too much, if someone watches all of your content like i did until this point, it is just mindnumbing; the self-promition, the sub-request, the repetitions from other videos.
Despite stating that TLDR has become professional, the contrary has happened; it has become more flashy-buzzfeed-like sub-and-hit-the-bell-button-buy-our-merch channel and i will not support that.

  30. @MatijazPecnik

    January 2, 2024 at 12:24 pm

But you didn't explain what was the amendment! How/why does it prevent prorogation?

  31. @TheMixCurator

    January 2, 2024 at 12:24 pm

You should state that if UK reaches no deal with the EU on the WA, then the UK DEFAULTS to WTO trading. Language is important here, and the use of the word default conjures negative connotations. Leaving with no deal sounds like you've left the blackjack table at a casino

  32. @TheActionBastard

    January 2, 2024 at 12:24 pm

UK politics spend a lot more time yelling… and the technical/action words… it's like Harry Potter (go figure lol) mixed with governance. Gotta cast Division to resolve the disagreement… then you cast Unlock to continue… lmao I have no idea how that shit works, but it's often hilarious to me as an outsider. Hopefully our circus amuses you as much as yours amuses me… at least then someone would be amused. :

  33. @uplink-on-yt

    January 2, 2024 at 12:24 pm

It just crossed my mind that when somebody says “we voted for no deal” the reply should be “no, you voted to get out, but the terms are to be set by whoever is running the country: negotiations, extensions, crash and burn even. If you want a say we need another vote”

  34. @VCYT

    January 2, 2024 at 12:24 pm

    MISTAKE –
The vote made as shown in this video is NOT legally binding.
So any new leader can ignore it.
The government make laws, so there is NO law made here.

  35. @LasloCanadi

    January 2, 2024 at 12:24 pm

Technical question. Could you please switch to a dark mode for your slides / animations? It is extremely unpleasant to watch these videos at night, before sleep. Can’t decide which is worse: 60” tv blasting light in the entire room, or watching a bright (even when dimmed) phone screen before sleep – that’s when I have the time to watch your videos. I’m guessing lots of your viewers do this, too. I know you are recognized by your color scheme, but the frustration about the lightness of your slides is distracting.
Thanks. Keep up the great work.

  36. @Brondahl

    January 2, 2024 at 12:24 pm

Uhhh … you didn't actually explain what the amendment was?

  37. @brodiea7825

    January 2, 2024 at 12:24 pm

Doesn't parliament blocking a no deal just kill the negotiating power of the UK, that surely isnt good
