Is the UK Prepared for a No Deal Brexit?

Published

on

The more time goes on, the more likely it looks that the UK will end up leaving the EU without a deal. So in this video, we discuss how prepared the UK is to actually handle the consequences of a no-deal Brexit. We also discuss where the nearly £30 billion pounds of money put aside to prepare for no-deal is going.

CORRECTION: Sorry for incorrectly spelling Carribbean in this video. I know people call us our for typos all the time, and we're working on it going forward. As you've probably noticed our uploads have slowed recently as were super busy with other things (to be announced when we got 300k) but that's no excuse for sloppiness – Jack

Everything worked out just fine……….said the person who voted for this now paying £500 per month on their mortgage, £200 per month on energy , £200 more on food., but it did stop immigration……err no we have more now,…..Slow clap for all those who voted for this.

I say start off with no tarriffs if goods costing more you have a option to buy some where else the companys that import or export know what they pay or charge now why change it start off with 0 tarriffs and take problems one at a time people are only going to pay so much and that is left up to the one paying who can shop some where else

Brexit will not happen on the 31st October. It will be delayed again and probably never happen.

Don't forget the probable destruction of U.K. Refineries in No Deal. In order to mitigate fuel problems the U.K. Is putting no tarrifs on fuel with the EU, however under WTO rules this would have to apply to all WTO countries leaving the U.K. Industry To be potentially undercut by foreign suppliers. For all the talk of going it alone and taking back control it sure would be a kick in the nuts to be dependent on Russia for fuel.

And when Scotland leaves the U.K., the U.K. has no longer any fishing waters… Come to think of it, no oil or gas either. God you are so stupid… Then there is Ireland and the North? They already said they will start it up again… Keep on keeping calm. Pelosi said that anything jeopardises the backstop and the U.S. will cease trade with the U.K. So 70 Million people on a tiny Island are going to win. Grow up Jeff. By the way, I am not a remainer either. Politics will be the undoing of the U.K. and everywhere else but the U.K. has the pleasure of being the first to go under. Damned if you do and damned if you don't. It's called a double bind. Last one out close the curtains, turn the lights out and leave the door open so the rats can get out.

It would seem that simply counting the number of businesses that drive to the checkpoint without the proper paperwork doesn't really convey what percentage of actual cargo (or "lorries") will actually stick for how long. It's quite likely that businesses that ship a lot put in the paperwork and businesses that hardly ever ship don't.

This is also a chance to think about what a nation really needs… today with AI robot companies, can't a nation just produce everything that it needs for itself? Why bother indebting your entire population to other nations/banks, when you could just produce everything for your own nation inside your nation? What would you really miss what you couldn't produce yourself? Heck, with the right technology you can even grow your own coffee in the Antarctic.

Many have been ready for a hard Brexit for more than 40 years.
It's about time some of you people got the picture, we don't belong in the EU we never have. For most of you it's about the money because we know you hate the UK. If there was some way you could have the money without the UK you would have chucked us out years ago.

    Dear TLDR News

Thank you for the explanations that you have loaded so far, I appreciate the straight forward manner in which you explain these complex issues. However, the one issue I have not seen addressed to date relates to the UK Supreme Court ruling that the Parliament must hold a vote before beginning the process of leaving the European Union. Being an antipodean it's not always easy to keep up with all the twists and turns, but has the UK Parliament provided the Government with the authority to proceed with leaving the EU? It also follows, in my humble opinion, that the Parliament can stop the Government proceeding with Brexit at any point, based on any authority the Parliament grants, the Parliament can revoke, is this correct? Finally, has the EU simply had enough and regardless of UK political manoeuvring, the EU simply wants the whole matter finalised and that means cutting the UK away come 31 October regardless?

I do hope you don't find my questions too simplistic, uninformed or tiresome and can either respond directly or dedicate YouTube time to addressing these questions.

    Many thanks
