My brother loved frozen peas because he loved the sense of them popping between his teeth. Wish he was still with us so I could make a pea and panchetta omlette. Thank you, Ben! ❤

Mix some miso paste into the eggs and it’s delicious

Seriously, cracking an egg on the side of the bowl or with a knife? I'm a "normie" and even I know you NEVER EVER do that. Crack an egg on a flat surface, so there isn't any shell going into the egg, then open it up with the hand you are holding it with. It's an easy one hand operation anyone should be able to do. His method? Nope, that's not it.

Game changer……I bought an omelette maker, love it.

Always cook a folded omelette like your first. I put fennel goats curd, spinach and fresh herbs in mine or sometimes I cook some cherry tomatoes in a good olive oil with a clove of garlic and basil and add to omelette with plain goats curd. Use 2 eggs. My breakfast 3 times a week 😉

Can these make a comeback? I always enjoyed the breakdown of reasons things are done the way they are. This is simple, chill, and is just the best kind of relaxation I like. It sounds like I am not the only one looking for that. Thanks for doing such a great little and easily digestible video.

Ben, a little disappointed here. Cracking on the edge of the Bowl is. . . no, not so much, shell chip(s) in the Bowl, maybe a Chef won't get chips but we Normals likely will. Crack on a flat surface and then into a transfer ramakin then into the bowl sans any shell chips. Thanks

I make the grill version at least twice a week for breakfast, 2 eggs, 2 slices of ham, 2 chopped cherry tomatoes, cheese (whatever I have…, normally parmesian or cheddar) some italian herbs and dried crushed garlic, salt and pepper…, yummmmmmm.

1:26 theres a piece of shell in the egg. If you would've cracked the egg on a flat surface, it wouldn't have happened.

  13. @trapjackson7863

    December 25, 2023 at 10:23 pm

You’re supposed to crack eggs on a flat surface aren’t you? lol according to Gordon Ramsey and a lot of other big name chefs anyway

As if I had so many ingredients just lying around. Usually I start considering omelettes when there's nothing but eggs left.

Do not crack your eggs on a knife OR on a bowl. Crack your eggs on a FLAT surface. Otherwise, you risk pushing shell INTO your egg. The stuff that makes eggs dangerous to eat raw are on the outside of the egg. You don't want it to get inside.

I think we need some new head to head to head battles, seems like the lads have learned a fair bit since the last ones. As for themes; most pretentious dish? Best cafe lunch? Most hipster recipe? Environmentally sustainable ultimate battle? Most expensive recipe? Exotic food? Modern fine dining? Pack lunch battle?
I miss the battles and the banter, and sure I’m not the only one.
