Maybe if you put the cinnamon in the churro batter? I don't know, it might work.

Speaking as someone who has arthritis in my hands that flairs up at unexpected times, this can opener would be a great thing to sit on my counter to use as a can opener but also all the other bits and pieces as and when I need them without having to dig through my drawers for the individual accessories when my hands are already swollen and sore

these are so easy to make with a few small pieces of board screwed together

The way to test out devices/ gadgets aimed for people with disabilities and dexterity issues is using your non dominant hand covered in oil
@kasgrieve9741
December 25, 2023 at 9:22 pm
There’s much better and cheaper can/ jar openers for people with dexterity issues, ones that will take up much less space, the can opener is the only thing that could work for people with those problems although putting the can in, could easily lead to cans being dropped, the jar opener definitely won’t help people with those issues, clearly needing force and finger strength, not a mechanical jar opener that does it for you

4:42 I love multifunctional kitchen gadgets lol. It's definitely a lot easier to justify purchasing a multifunctional gadget over gadgets that take up a lot of space & only have one specific use.

The Whisk Whiper is an interesting idea, but doesn't seem very effective. I'd love to see them test the collapsible 2-in-1 balloon and flat whisk (by Joseph Joseph) in the future tho – it seems much easier to clean & is easier to store imo.
@joelelbear
December 25, 2023 at 9:22 pm
i think a little bit of non stick cooking spray would help in the churro maker add that "oil"

CHUR ROSS? No my friend, it's CHUR OHS. Please stop hurting my ears.
Also, some things are just never meant to be modified in a healthy way. Churros are meant to be deep fried.

To open tight lid on a jar just give it a couple of sharp taps on the bench top!

That is the first electric can opener I have ever see that doesn't automatically capture the lid.

Rewatching this years later and I had forgotten how wonderfully chaotic, irreverent and joyous this particular outing with the team was… it’s got that quintessential ‘haven’t seen my mates for ages, released from lockdown energy’… It’s so delightful!

Did they place a bet before filming this?😂
All of them trying really hard to convince the other how great the gadget is🤣🤣🤣
@LilianaKali
December 25, 2023 at 9:22 pm
For me, personally, my rankings based on how often I'd use it:
1. Can opener
2. Tortilla press
3. Churro maker and whisk-y business – I do not eat churros or need to make anything in that shape and I do not use whisks – the things I make only ever need to be whisked with a fork or with chopsticks

Actually own that can opener best electric can opener. It also if you lift it up more comes out for cleaning.

December 25, 2023 at 9:22 pm
The churro maker would be better for skinny corn dogs. lol
@Errb_Sulaky
December 25, 2023 at 9:22 pm
Though it can be used for flour tortillas, that types of press is pretty much used exclusively for corn tortillas as yo can’t really get flour tortillas thin enough with it to cook and puff properly.
@Appophust
December 25, 2023 at 9:22 pm
Totally mangling "churros." Is that a British thing? It's supposed to be pronounced "choo-rose."
@squimblejibs
December 25, 2023 at 9:22 pm
Please, someone, two years later, tell them that’s not how you say “churros”.. and that there’s a singular form “churro” 🤣🤣 love these videos gents

1: Tortilla press. 10/10. Want! This is almost indestructible and will be a family heirloom. I'd probably change the fasteners sooner than later to A2 stainless if they're just zinc coated steel, though. And I might season it to prevent rust. Using the paper means you don't really have to scrub it, but every now and then it'll need a deep clean. Does it come in larger sizes? Hope so!
2: Can opener. 4/10. I noticed the magnet coming loose. Only reason for me to buy this is the blister pack opener, and I'm sure I can find that without the other stuff.
3: Churros maker. 3/10. Would never use for churros, but would try it for skinny hot dogs. Would not buy.
4: Whisk whiper. 0/10. I see no real use for this. Straight in the bin.

Ben got stiffed 😂😂 his ‘gift’ wasn’t the most exciting gift and you could see the disappointment on his face throughout testing it, he knew it was such a pointless item and he’s normally so good at finding even the most remote positive in anything he uses but even he wasn’t able to forge appreciation 😂
@SharienGaming
December 25, 2023 at 9:22 pm
the taco press is the clear winner – actually useful, durable and works
second place goes to the churros maker…sure its not as good as making them from hand, but it seems good enough… and well…
its not third place… sure that can opener works, but you can get way better ones that arent electric and the rest of the stuff are gimmicks… the jar grip on its own might be okay though
and last place of course the whiskwiper… pointless piece of plastic solving a problem that no one has in a way that hardly even works
and on the can opener… why do companies still make versions of these that cut open the top of the can? the ones ive used for decades now work by making small indentations into the sides of the lid and then you can take it out as is – no sharp edges involved at all… heck it even includes little pincers you can grab the lid with if you want to be totally sure
@dawnelder9046
December 25, 2023 at 9:22 pm
I would rather clean out a bowl with a real spatula where you have a long handle. And water is much faster for cleaning a whisk.

I have problems with arthritis so ended up with an electric can opener. Is it easier than a manual opener? Yes. However, it can be seriously irritating getting the can lined up, the lid is grabbed so tightly by the magnet that pulling it off can be dangerous.
