I think a seafood brief is a really open brief and makes the judging a difficult task and also slightly imbalanced. If they were restricted to making a fish dish it would be a more even base to judge the dishes because a seafood brief gives the potential for one person cooking fish and the other cooking prawns and squid which means there isn’t actually a common denominator between the dishes

I actually don't understand what Jamie was doing. He said it at the beginning- rinse the rice, cook for 10 mins, let sit for 15. He should have known the rice was a dud before the halfway point, with plenty of time within the limit to get a second batch cooked, finished, and everything plated.
What was he doing for 40 minutes

You should tell them they are doing an unlimited battle then only as the video starts tell them they are actually cooking each others dish so gor example Barry could have to cook what Mike picked and Mike what Jamie picked and Jamie what Mike picked

Those ALL looked amazing, fried calamari was my childhood go-to at Chinese restaurants, so if I had to choose just one to try I'd probably go with Barry's, but I would love to eat 'em all.
