Labour forget the economy was in a complete mess when the Cons took over so they need to take a good look at themselves before they attack the opposition.

With regards to the decrease in NI is laughable. A few years ago our NI went up to pay for social care. Social care still needs to be paid for so expect for that to go up again or income tax will go up to pay for social care after the GE and if they return to power. No increase in the personal allowance either. So no one benefits at all.

As for pensioners they haven’t won anything. They are entitled to the 8.5% increase under the triple lock. If anything they are worse off because the government suspended their increase for a year because of the pandemic and i don’t see them compensating the pensioners for that year but they managed to find money for the “Eat out to help out”. Most pensioners can just about afford to eat and didn’t and still don’t have the money to eat out.

The government can conveniently find money of £8-9 million a DAY for illegal immigrants and rising, money for the French so they can buy their microwaves etc, the Chinese, India, Pakistan, the EU etc but they can’t find the money for pensioners or to help it’s own citizens who are paying for all these foreign entities! Unbelievable.

This country has been mismanaged beyond belief and if people want things to really change they would do well to stop voting for Labour, Cons or Liberals and vote for the Reform Party. If we keep voting for the same old parties we are going to get more if the same old rubbish. I’m prepared to take a risk and give another party a chance, are you?

In 2010, when Labour left office, net immigration was around 250,000, today it is 745,000, almost 3 times as many, despite the promise to bring it down to “ten’s of thousands”.

In 2010, when Labour left office, the NHS waiting list was 250,000, today it is over 750,000.

In 2010, when Labour left office, CPI inflation was 3.4%, having peaked at 5.2% in September 2008, today the figure is 4.6%, having peaked at 11.1% in October 2022.

In 2010, when Labour left office, average wages once adjusted for CPI inflation (2023 prices) were £38,206, today the figure is £34,963.

In May 2010, when Labour left office, the National Debt stood at 64.5% of GDP, today it is over 100%.

All a bribe for the upcoming election and political commentators have been predicting this for months. This government needs kicking out and getting a government that has the interests of genuine Britains at heart. Vote for Reform UK and give them the chance that the present parties seem to be incapable of.

  46. @philparmenter53

They say that this election will be about the economy rather than migration, but the economy is in bad shape because of migration. All of those millions of new people use government resources and housing, and it makes everything more expensive for everyone.

Deporting these illegal, economically opportunistic invaders needs to be priority one.
