Thankyou for the no nut recipe. My partner has eaten nuts all his life and one year ago became a huge deal at the age of 70. We love chicken Satay but have not made because of the peanuts. He is most bummed about the fact he can't have Thai peanut sauce. It's been a long two years. Cheers

Please don't say the K word when speaking about lime leaves as it is the same as the N word in parts of the world very bad! Educate don't hate ❤

Agree to disagree. Satay should be thigh meat. Also for the first one. We dont use water but coconutmilk instead to make it a little thinner and heat the sauce up for service.

Nitpick. All the recipes are nutfree because peanuts are not nuts.

Am I going to be 'that guy'? Yup.
Technically, peanuts are legumes, not nuts, so all are nut free, taxonomically speaking

Mike, a lot of Indonesian people i know would go for thigh over breast anytime. Chicken breast is really something western, and the fat in the thigh makes for a very juicy Satée.

Nut allergies here, so we often sub sunflower butter for anything calling for peanut butter. Usually turns out well!

As someone with so many allergies that my normal meals are usually just pasta and marinara, I greatly appreciate how you guys included a nut free version of this! <3

I'm still not sure what "chicken satay" is. Chicken with lime and peanuts (or seeds)? It's not something I have ever seen on a menu, meaning I would have to go to a very much bigger city to find it, except I can't handle crowds. As in crowds of people cause me to have panic attacks, I have even been rescued a few times much to my shame. The places I have been so far in cities twice the size (actually a little more) of where I live don't have it. It's not like I can make it, I never even heard of "kefir lime leaves" or lemongrass before this channel! NOT things found in rural Missouri, or probably most "urban" parts of Missouri! Maybe some of the very rich parts of St Louis, but I live about 3-4 hours from there, depending on who is driving. If Kansas City or Springfield has them, they are not in stores I have been to. I don't go either place often, and haven't been to Springfield in some years because I no longer have a reason to go to that area, and it is a few hours away on a good day. So, I can't easily make it, have never heard of it outside this channel, but I am very curious! I would very much like a sample, or a way of getting the ingredients that doesn't involve Amazon or other companies that treat employees badly. (I want everyone to have a good job that treats them decently. I don't even ask "really well", just decently, because most jobs don't)

The best satay is not satay then? If Ben had used smooth peanut butter instead of just nuts, I bet it would have been the best.

Thigh/tenderloins are such a better cut than breast. I'm sure when cooked right it is fine. but when ever I have had any sort of skewer with breast meat its chewy, or just really stringy.
