Just saw this a second time, I didn't point this out the first time because I was too busy laughing at how all 3 of you after Mike missed the bag of rive on the counter and I would live to day bravo to Mike to ignore the instruction on the bag it did say once boiling put a lid on it bring it to simmer and leave it for 35 to 40 mins…

I think it should be a pass because they creatively upped the rice dish. However they should be penalized for not taking out the vegetables from the oven AND drizzling the honey after time had finished ❤😊. Really good job. I am completely confused by Chef Ebbers, "I would finish this and take more". "Fail"?! Mmmmm, so what is a pass.

    How were the vegetables?

    January 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm

id imagine these would go swimmingly if they were allowed a free 3 minutes to run around like a chicken with its head cut off..

  8. @nikilambert4446

    January 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm

    Totally a pass

  9. @michaelratcliffe7559

    January 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm

The whole dish was about the rice and other one of them except the first chef did anything resembling how to cook rice – any rice – boiling water turn heat down to simmer and cook for 20-25 minutes off the heat and sit for another 5 minutes and serve. Mike walked in read the instructions and then did nothing about what he read and the rest of the simply kept adding water like they had never cooked rice before in their lives and then went right on to cook peerage unconnected food items establishing no basis for their relationship to the sausage and rice that was set on the go by the first chef. It’s funny to watch but seriously – these guys don’t know what they are doing.

An all-chef pass it on vs. and all-normal pass it on would be very fun to see. James as a guest, Kush, and Ebbers vs. the three normals or something? 🧑‍🍳

I hear Janice has VERY similar hair colour to Mike's… but since Mike was the one in the kitchen and Janice was in a recording booth in Brimsby … Yeah, obviously the hair was Janice's. XD

"I left the hob on for him it's his comfort place"❤😂😂😂

Of all people to choose an ingredient that is completely unknown to everybody in the team because it looked like the coolest and weirdest one, the last person I’d expect is James 😂 he’s usually very composed, thinks about his contributions and how it impacts the team and typically has a clear direct plan in mind, instead he Spaffed his go and doomed the team from the start 😂

  18. @sersero

    January 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm

Never add cold water to boiling rice. Little tip. Also don’t stir it…

  19. @fifiroux

    January 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm

How have I never seen this one!?!?!

Thank you YouTube algorithm for bringing me back to a more innocent time when the boys were genuinely trying to do their best and just couldn't get it together. And James, of course.

  20. @brianhardy9275

    January 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm

i know you all aren't as fond of the Pass It On challenges, but I learn more from them than many of the others because the time pressure encourages creativity on the fly and seeing the turning around of an unexpected development into an edible learning experience that stengthens your knowledge for the future is really helpful.

These (celery leaves) often get wasted… thats because in culinary school they teach us that celery leaves make you ill

  22. @michaelg7601

    Who grills celery?

  24. @gambitbullet

    January 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm

I honestly don't know why you guys haven't pitched this as a format to a TV producer it sold it! It is golden!

  25. @Kangstor

    January 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm

ok apparently they don't cook rice with cover in England because noone put a lid on it at all.

  26. @huggledemon32

    January 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm

Interesting that the two chefs gave it a pass but the normals all failed it!🤷‍♀️

“I’ve left the hun on for him, it’s his comfort space” hahahahahahahahaha love it Ben🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  28. @lisat776

    January 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm

Black rice as in wild rice? In America wild rice is actually a wild grass seed in lakes. A major staple of our indigenous Americans. Usually red or black. Takes an hour unless your version is precooked James.

  29. @johanna-rr3eu

    January 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm

The tasting is like a grown up and a kids table I love it

  30. @anguschua8204

    January 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm

Honestly think every pass it on would be better with 3-5 components max

  31. @kimmayer2384

    January 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm

I’m just confused with you guys. You’ve been doing these for long enough that I would expect that checking the oven and fridge would be the first thing you did but then it wouldn’t be as funny 😂

  32. @Thegbear

    January 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm

The rating isn’t based on what it COULD be, it’s just pass or fail. IMO if you made a good tasting dish out of that chaos, that’s pass all the way.

  33. @bluereenie2

    January 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm

Um, I'm sorry. PUT A LID ON THAT RICES, JAMES!

  34. @jackiebuttnor8410

    January 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm

LoL I was almost screaming at them as each of them including Ebers just left the rice with no lid. LoL

    I adore this channel.

NORMALS GET A 1 CHIEFS GET A 5 OVER ALL DISH FAILS, BECAUSE ELEMENTS DIDNT GET PLATED

    January 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm

Grilling a shoe 👞 sounds like a good addition! Yummy 😋😋😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

    January 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm

BUT FENOL IS STILL IN OVEN CHACK OVEN PLEASE !!!!!1 FIRE HAZARDO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  40. @DanielDugovic

    January 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm

The dual narrative at the end (chefs' review versus normals' review) is clever.

  41. @corgi813

    January 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm

Mike doesnt give himselg enough credit

  42. @raideurng2508

    January 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm

Ben: 7/10 Got some flavor combos together and didn't mess anything up.
James: 6/10 Picked an ingredient that would throw everyone off but got some solid stuff in the pan.
Mike: 5/10 Got some peppers going and generally was ok.
Barry: 3/10 Panic, terror, but the plating wasn't terrible.
Jamie: 0/10 I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

  43. @na_marie

    January 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm

The way the rice was cooked in this hurt me so much :’)
