최근 SNS와 일상에서 빠르게 확산되는 생활 트렌드를 소개하는 콘텐츠 ‘유행보고서’.

세 번째 에피소드에서는 Z세대의 새로운 소통법으로 주목받는 앱 ‘셋로그(setlog)’를 조명했다.

셋로그는 하루를 시간대별로 2초씩 촬영한 영상을 분할 화면으로 보여주는 기록형 앱이다. 기존에는 인스타그램을 중심으로 직업별 일상을 담은 숏폼 브이로그가 유행했다면, 최근에는 촬영과 편집 부담을 줄이고 보다 간편하게 기록하려는 흐름이 뚜렷해지고 있다.

이 앱은 팀을 구성해 정해진 시간에 맞춰 짧게 촬영하는 구조로 참여를 유도한다. 별도의 편집 없이도 콘텐츠가 완성되며, 같은 시간대의 활동을 공유함으로써 서로 다른 공간에서도 시간을 함께 보내는 듯한 경험을 제공하는 점이 특징이다.

실제로 셋로그에 참여한 20대 직장인 김지영씨는 “친구들과 자주 만나지 못해도 서로 무엇을 하는지 알 수 있어서 좋다”고 말했다.

이 같은 이용 방식은 ‘무편집’과 ‘가공되지 않은 일상 기록’을 선호하는 Z세대의 최근 SNS 이용 경향과 맞닿아 있다는 분석이다.

한편 셋로그는 지난 15일 기준 애플 앱스토어 무료 앱 인기 차트 1위에 오르며 Z세대를 중심으로 빠르게 확산되고 있다.

셋로그가 일시적인 유행을 넘어 새로운 기록 문화로 자리 잡을 수 있을지 주목된다.
