A great question, now we know why Kier Starmer is a Sir and what Lord Frost needs to do to stand as an MP candidate. I too want to see him in charge, maybe with Kemi as Foreign Sec before the next election.

Tories are the party of mass illegal immigration and the major treason they are hated for their treachery. Change the law. People have had more than enough

Lord Frost lost me when he avoided the question of France helping illegal migrants reach the UK and UK government wasting money ( £125 million upfront and non refundable to Rwanda government ) to send dozens out of thousands to Rwanda?!!!

The easy solution is not to send Navy vessels to taxi hundreds of illegal migrants each day, not offer them free hotels and benefits, not to offer them social housings and not to offer them citizenships!
This is what France is doing and no EU or UN calling France racist! But far left in the UK calling UK government racist for not bringing more migrants!!!

I am disappointed with "Lord" David Frost. I used to rate him, but now, I'm not so sure. Poking his nose in, as to who "he" wants to see as the next PM. It is as it his opinion really counts and should be given serious credence. Talk about a back seat driver ! Rather than trying to pull the strings from behind, he should have thrown his "hat" into the ring, rather than to be a leader by proxy. All he has to is to renounce his peerage like Tony Benn did back in 1963. But no, he still wants his seat in the cushy House of Lords and still hold some sort of sway over Liz Truss, if she ever does become PM. By the Liz Truss used to a Lib-Dem and a Remainer. Lord Frost – either put up, or shut up !!

Zia Yusuf delivers a scathing critique of both the Conservative and Labour parties, accusing them of failing the British public on immigration and foreign aid. In this explosive segment, the Reform UK Home Affairs spokesperson claims the country has experienced “the biggest wave of untrammelled mass immigration ever seen,” placing the blame squarely on successive governments.

Yusuf outlines why Reform UK is launching a new inquiry into what he calls the “Boriswave,” arguing that border policies under recent leadership have left the UK exposed. He raises concerns about public safety, national priorities, and whether the current system is truly serving the interests of the British people.

In this week’s Chopper’s Political Podcast, Christopher Hope is joined by Tom Harwood and Katherine Forster to examine the growing debate around the UK state pension and the “triple lock.”

With Reform UK now joining other major parties in backing the policy, the discussion explores why the triple lock remains politically untouchable, despite rising concerns over its long-term cost. The panel breaks down how the system works, why it was introduced, and how it has helped reduce pensioner poverty, while also raising questions about fairness between generations.

They also look at the mounting financial pressures facing the UK, including the rising cost of pensions, slow economic growth, and an ageing population. Could the triple lock become unsustainable in the future? And if so, what alternatives might be considered?
