“I Bought The Hotel To SING!” | Hotel Hell
That’s one way to get into debt.
Season 2, Episode 1
Ramsay arrives at the hotel and is immediately put off by the beige color scheme and being asked to sign a damage waiver. He wonders why a hotel in New Mexico is styled after Tuscany, Italy. The food is not very good, and the owner Cali Szczawinski sings karaoke in the style of Cher during dinner services. The pool area is dirty and disused. The owner fires the general manager and asks Ramsay for help. Ramsay and his team redecorate all of the rooms, renovate the pool area and redesign the menu, all in the style of New Mexico. When the owner starts to waver on the changes, Ramsay threatens to put the pool back to the way it was and leave. He also asks her to stop singing and focus on management. She commits to the changes and sees a boost in business. The hotel was sold to new owners and renamed Hacienda De Mesilla in 2017.
Season 2, Episode 2
Only four rooms in the historic hotel are available for use, and all other guests are sent to the adjacent motel. The owner Phillip Lovingfoss inherited the hotel and is wealthy, with a collection of classic cars displayed outside. However, he runs the hotel in a miserly way. The staff informs Ramsay that the owner is severely alcoholic and was jailed the night before for DUI. Ramsay stages an intervention for the owner, renovates the rooms and redesigns the menu. The hotel closed in 2016 due to the owners’ debts and was converted into an apartment building in 2019.

Keri Ka Sharbat Recipe in English.
Keri ka sharbat
Ingredients of concentrated syrup:
1/2 kg Raw mango (sliced)
1 ½ cup Water
3 cup Sugar
1 ½ tsp Black salt
½ tsp Salt
Raw mango drink ingredients:
1 cup Water
Black pepper (a pinch)
Cumin crushed & roasted (a pinch)
Ice cubes as required
Mint leaves for garnishing
1/4 cup concentrated syrup
Mojito ingredients:
1/4 cup Concentrated syrup
Black pepper a pinch
5-6 Mint leaves
Ice cubes as required
Soda water as required
Directions of concentrated syrup:
Peel and cut the raw mangoes in slices.
Add water in a pan, add raw mangoes, cover the pan and let it cook until it gets fully tender.
Add sugar, black salt, salt and cook until sugar get dissolve.
Let it cool then blend the mixture well.
You can store it for up to 1 month in refrigerate.
Direction of raw mango drink:
In a serving glass add concentrated syrup, black pepper, cumin and mix it well.
Add ice cubes, water and mix it well.
Garnish with some mint leaves and serve chilled.
Directions of mojito:
In a glass add concentrated syrup, black pepper and mix it well.
Add ice cubes, mint leaves and pour soda water.
Serve chilled.
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes

The owner has her issues, but that general manager bad-mouthing her so badly to new people and then being absolutely shocked he was fired, wow! Your general manager is supposed to help you succeed. He claims he's a fall guy? While he's fully admitting the crap he does and says? Good riddance to bad garbage. The owner needs to wake up and make some changes, but she also needs people who are going to work with her and fight for her as well as challenge her. That's the job of a general manager, and he just sucked at it.

Phillip is SUCH a distasteful person…And not just because of the drinking. And so is his gf. Hear me out…Everything about him and the way they behaved in front of staff was shameful and pitiful. They literally owe the lifestyle and everything they currently have going for them, to a hard working lady who's no longer here….and THIS is how they thank her and show respect for her? Especially him, hes just let it go to shit, while he plays house with the GM. And they trash the hotels good name and rep she worked so hard for. I mean, ew. That's not just a business issue, thats a personal issue.
I will say, she (the gm/the Gf) played the "woe is me" card very well. And i do think she genuinely wants him to get sober. However, she was also helping him keep his DUI from Gordon. AND in the beginning, before Gordon called them both out on how they ran the place and treated/paid their staff, she was just as bad as Phillip, behavior wise. Minus the drinking ofc… After all, she was the one in the kitchen saying how glad she was that Gordon hated all the crappy food, because she wanted him to "see it all". AKA see how piss poor all of the staff was and the chef was. Right in front of the chef etc…When she knew alllll along that it was HER and her douche bf that were the problem.
Least we forget the General freaking manager knowingly left her nasty, ancient, bodily fluids all on those used nasty mattresses before ordering her staff to put them in the hotel, for strangers to then sleep on too! 🤮Dirty b*tches, both of em.
What Gordon was able to do with them two and that historic building was truly amazing…But Phillip and his gf are shitty on the inside, and no chef can fix that for them. Hopefully him getting sober will somehow magically cure the both of their rancid , mean, miser ways. But im doubtful

@gordonramsay you def need to visit Pure Bliss in Bellingham, WA for the best slice of cake you've ever had in your life or I will literally eat my own foot! It's so great! If you try their salted caramel vanilla cake you will weep that you don't have more time on this earth to eat more of this cake! I don't work there, but I got a slice today and it's making me question if this amazing flavor is illegal 😂

Being that passionate about cooking and having Gordon Ramsay not only try the food and the foodtruck you run as a side business with your mate, but having him saying it's delicious.
