‘How my foot became anti-vaccine propaganda’ – BBC News

Published

on

As people begin receiving Covid vaccines in the UK, parts of social media are alive with conspiracy theories.

Patricia’s foot was used as anti-vaccine propaganda after false claims she was injured in the Pfizer/BioNTech trials.

Patricia never received the actual vaccine. Medical records show that she received a placebo. This is her story.

I hope the people with common sense see this for what it is and for once don’t bring “satanist” terminology or insults into this. Because that is what religion is used for. To control the population and dumb people down.

And here we are two years later and thectruth is all coming out. And the BBC need to apologise to people they called conspiracy theorists. Not saying the micro chil nonsense was real but many other things said back then are being recognised as true. BBC are still up to their biased one sided narrative.

Wrong!… it isn't merely a 'conspiracy theory', but more like a set of facts the likes of which the BBC are trying to either dismiss as such, or more like cover up. Binned my license 2 yrs ago to 'escape' all this blasted nonsense & 'conspired' twisted broadcasting propaganda, funded by the Gates foundation in support of the BBC agenda.

    … BBC REALITY CHECK…

The problem of course is that unqualified people, Facebook and journalists are also fact checking the experts.

Facebook censored a peer reviewed report from the British Medical Journal!

You, the BBC ran a 'reality check' article criticising a doctor that itself contained falsehoods! Shame on you.

    https://youtube.com/c/Campbellteaching

You should be listening to medical professionals like this and not misquoting them in shoddy 'Reality Check' articles.

Are journalists the new arbiters of truth now! Should we listen to media hacks or social media giants over peer reviewed reports, created by experts in their field…? Should we only be seeing stats that have gone through the media filter first?

No, we should not. Stop pushing agendas and just REPORT facts please.

Using license fee, government grants and generous donations from stakeholders (Billy Boy Gates) to form the biggest propaganda network since WW2. BBC UK/world service and its trusted news sources in the commercial media. Basically a media cartel funded with taxpayers money. totally disgusting.

Calling someone a "conspiracy theorist" as if you are saying they are lying lol. A theory is an assumption that something sinister is plannee or taking place. If it eventually happens it is no longer a theory now is it?

Why Canada is standing up to Trump | The Global Story

Published

on

President Trump has announced a new round of tariffs against a range of Canadian goods, including hockey sticks and cement.

Trump says the tariffs are in retaliation for what he called Canada’s “unequal treatment” of US cars, dairy and alcohol.

But earlier in the week he also threatened retaliatory tariffs over Canada’s wildfire smoke which has been drifting into US cities.

Asma Khalid from The Global Story podcast speaks to Jayme Poisson – host of the CBC podcast ‘Frontburner’ – about what Trump actually wants from Canada, and whether Canadians are bracing for a world in which the US is no longer their closest ally.

Are holiday homes stopping young people buying houses? | BBC News

Published

on

What do affordable housing, arsonists, tourism, the Welsh language and council tax have in common?

The answer… second homes.

In some parts of Wales, second homes make up nearly a third of all properties. For local young people trying to buy their first home, that raises a big question – are second homes pricing them out of the communities they grew up in?

In this video, we explore the impact of second-home ownership on housing affordability, local culture and community life in Wales. We hear from residents, experts and policymakers to find out whether second homes are a problem, or whether there are other factors making it harder for young people to get on the housing ladder.

From economics and housing policy to tourism and the Welsh language, this is a story about far more than property.

Are apprenticeships the answer to the UK’s high youth unemployment? | BBC Newscast

Published

on

Today, secondary school pupils in England will be offered more technical subjects as part of education reforms led by the new prime minister.

The courses, which will be available from year 10 onwards will be linked to local industries in the hope of giving children a clearer pathway into work.

Andy Burnham says he’s keen to strengthen links between education and the workplace and these reforms come alongside a new bursary scheme which aims to remove financial barriers to accessing apprenticeships.

Adam discusses the reforms, and whether they can achieve their aims, with Justine Greening, the former education secretary and founder of the Purpose Coalition which aims to improve social mobility, and Shane Chowen, editor at FE Week.

Plus, Adam catches up with By-Electioncast veterans Sarah Lester, editor of the Manchester Evening News and Kevin Fitzpatrick, political reporter at Radio Manchester to discuss the Manchester mayoral by-election, which goes to the polls on Thursday.

India’s youth desperation fuelling the ‘Cockroach Party’ | Global News Podcast

Published

on

Despite police crackdowns and accusations of brutality during protests this week, India’s ‘youth-led’ Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) is showing no signs of slowing down, as it gathers support from the public and opposition politicians.

The group is demanding education reforms and the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who oversaw exams in the country which were subject to corruption claims. The group began after India’s Chief Justice, Surya Kant, allegedly compared unemployed young people and activists to cockroaches and parasites during a court hearing. He later said he was only referring to people with “fake and bogus degrees”, but when graduate Abhijeet Dipke used the name Cockroach Party to start a satirical group online, it gained millions of followers rapidly and grew into one of the most unexpected challenges to the powerful, nationalist government.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi vowed to take care of the country’s youth in a midnight video, after the party called for nationwide protests to be held again on Friday and talks between representatives of the Cockroach Party and government officials later took place in Delhi, but as our Global Affairs Correspondent and India specialist Anbarasan Ethirajan explains, the fractures between young people in India and the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) run deeper than anger over exam fraud.
