This comment is way too new to matter but still; are you sure it's kidney beans in Japanese desserts and not azuki?!

The original toppings of Filipino halo-halo are:
    Ube puree
    Leche flan
    Sweetened jackfruit strips
    Rice crispies
    Coconut strips
    Sweetened red beans
    Sweetened banana slices
    Evaporated milk
    1 teaspoon of sugar
    Gelatin slices
    tapioca pearls

By the way i love your version of halo-halo.

A yam plant/tuber is very much different from a sweet potato.

Since you are in the UK, it is always safe to assume that there is no real ube sold there. Most like likely, you were sold purple sweet potatoes instead.
Ube is hard to propagate and mass produce, even here in the Philippines.

NOTE: if it tastes like sweet potato, then it is a sweet potato

uh maybe a bigger glass and mix it all in first before tasting it…?

The thing I'm confused about foreign made halo halo is that, they put too little ice!

  13. @mnt7526

    January 24, 2024 at 3:52 pm

This is not authentic halo halo and eating halo halo you should mix it altogether from top to bottom until all the ingredients are all mixed

  14. @manuelilagan3054

    January 24, 2024 at 3:52 pm

Good for the eye but definitely not the taste because you don't halo halo it

  15. @halleluia2025

    January 24, 2024 at 3:52 pm

Why even bother to put ice if it's gonna be that little😅
Also, YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO MIX THE WHOLE THING! If you're gonna eat it like that, might as well just eat the ingredients separately 😅

  16. @lesterpark7539

    January 24, 2024 at 3:52 pm

This is the most posh halo-halo ever!

Honesty using beans & legumes in a sweet application is very common in all parts of Asia. Vietnam, Japan, Philippines, you name it, they probably got a dessert with beans

Did the server legit touch every single piece of banana with her hand lol. Woah.

    For us in Newfoundland, Canada,
Halo is a brand of ice cream.

    January 24, 2024 at 3:52 pm

this is not the real halo halo. they made it like shit. stop dont do this to halo halo. pls this is not halo halo.

  21. @jemmanhayag1384

    January 24, 2024 at 3:52 pm

The idea is there BUT we all know that is not the authentic HaloHalo. Still love the video

    January 24, 2024 at 3:52 pm

You guys should also cook another filipino food which is pancit or stir fried noodles

  23. @rebeccah3091

    January 24, 2024 at 3:52 pm

I am so confused how they would think red beans are kidney beans.

  24. @johnjdevlin2610

    January 24, 2024 at 3:52 pm

Try just taking Breyer's vanilla ice cream and topping it with some Bosco. Just as good, but not as weird.

  25. @innaferrer17

    January 24, 2024 at 3:52 pm

In our citizenship test, if you can mix halo halo without any ingredients falling, you'll become Filipino already. True Story.
