When I was a kid, I always wanted to someday make a creme brulee. I hadn't even had one, I just thought they sounded delicious. But this was back in the 90s before the internet made everything accessible, and all the hoity toity cook books said you HAD to have CERAMIC ramekins! Thank goodness those days are over lol

would creme brulees still work if i steamed it? Like steamed buns etc.

Why do Brits and Americans always have to have another dessert to accompany their actual dessert?

  15. @spiderdude2099

    January 17, 2024 at 12:20 am

Personally I prefer creme brûlée to be a bit less liquid than that, more like a custard. IMO it shouldn't be something fluid enough to be used as a dip

Why can't you just pour the fresh caramel onto the Creme brûlée?

  19. @maes116

    January 17, 2024 at 12:20 am

why can't you pour the hot sugar mix directly on to the creme brulees?

You don't cook/warm up the cream before you pour in with eggs? And I have tried nearly 3-4 times I m not sure what am I doing wrong can't make the dame crust or the brûlée…!!! After 25-30 mins it becomes brown colour….. doing it exactly what you saying but don't know why this is happening MAY BE I HACE A FAN BASED OVEN….? Could be the reason ?
    Please help….!!! Any suggestions

Thanks a lot for all of the wonderful ideas you guys share with us!

İ don't know why but i have a weakness for a combo of banana and passion fruit. But would that work in a creme brulee and when should i incorporate the banana into the recipe?

  25. @MagpulSqwerl

    January 17, 2024 at 12:20 am

brilliant, but a bit over complicated if you don't have blow torch, just put raw sugar on top and throw it right under the flame in the oven on broil, achieve same effects as blow torch. I personally invested in a $20 torch.

    January 17, 2024 at 12:20 am

After you made the caramel you dont have to let it cool qnd blits it and put it on the oven you can just spoon in the caramel on top the creme brulee, even it out and done

  32. @friciy

    January 17, 2024 at 12:20 am

You could put the sugar on top and then heat up a spoon and heat up the sugar with the spoon and you should have the same effect as a blowtorch.

funny fact is that passion fruit is so expensive and luxury product in europe when in Thailand we met people who have passion fruit tree next to their house but they don't eat it! they told us that this is not good fruit, it's sour and they don't like it at all 😀 they have better fruit next to house like very sweet, yellow mango, papaya, watermelons in garden and more!
