As an American, 30 miles is a work commute for some and a short drive to the next town over for others. Can’t imagine how Brits feel about this bridge or that distance

Well here we are, more than 2 years alter, and it looks like this project is DEFINITELY going to happen! I cna see why so many people believed in it. They were certainly not naive. THis is totally going to happen, the naysyaers looks so foolish now.

Just another of Johnson’s hare brained schemes to leave a legacy in power Remember the airport on a newly built island off the southern coast the garden bridge the failed cable cars Everything he touches turns into incompetence and corruption

Protectionism and security? That's laughable. More like racism and hypocrisy. The 'wall' was never any more than a fraud's grandstanding middle finger to Latin America to appease his racist base.

It's ambitious and not as ridiculous as this lunacy:
Four high speed railways have been proposed for Europe at a projected cost of €1.3 trillion (that's one million times 1.3 million) which is outrageous and I wonder how they intend to raise the money for something so radically stupid & idiotic. One of these lines, believe it or not, is Belfast to Paris via Dublin and Cork with a high speed ferry crossing the water between Ireland and France. Now the Belfast to Dublin section has been cut out of it which makes it even more ridiculous. I'm sure it'll be an enormous white elephant because I can't see people choosing not to swiftly fly from Dublin or Cork with Ryanair or Aer Lingus except those who are afraid of flying.

It seems pretty much a certainty that Andy Burnham will be the next British prime minister. Exactly when it happens depends on a few factors. We outline some of the reasons an early general election is likely.
