On a number of occasions, Johnson has laid out his plans for Brexit, which starts with trying to get a better deal than May. While Johnson says he’s okay with a no-deal Brexit, he does first want to try and secure a deal. In this video, we discuss his plan to get a deal as well as what the EU actually thinks of his proposal (basically will it work).

It seems pretty much a certainty that Andy Burnham will be the next British prime minister. Exactly when it happens depends on a few factors. We outline some of the reasons an early general election is likely.

Just a reminder for the "you're too critical of Boris" folks. He worked HARD for Brexit, he wanted to be prime minister, and if he doesn't have a plan that is actually possible or well thought-out, he should be criticized. I don't care if it's an impossible problem, he wanted it.

The UK will get no deal with the USA if it doesn't leave EU and have no deals with it.
The WTO will insist on hard border, the UK is already a member (a fact Bretards seem to not know about).
This is a Catch 22 par excellence.
@arnatar2086
January 16, 2024 at 11:05 am
Let me ask one question: Why should the EU negotiate with someone who is threatening to break deals, they already signed?
If they negotiate, they give in to blackmail, if they do not and the other side goes through with its threats, then the other side has proven that negotiations would have been pointless from the beginning, since they are not inclined to keep their word.
It would be kinda the similar to the EU giving the UK the following two possibilities: Either sign what we want or we close down Calais. The latter would probably make the UK economy and supply of goods implode.

Johnson is the only conservative I heard say “ you avoid no deal, by planning for no deal.” How is this not obvious ?
What every damage no deal will do to the UK, it does to the EU. That’s just a fact, plus the EU is on their last legs, if they go down this no deal road. How are they going to not only plug the gap, the UK has left in the finances of the EU ?
The UK is in so much more of a stronger position that you are lead to believe but the donkeys that have been leading us. I pray for no deal as this will be exposed and it will be the final death nail in the coffin of the MSM.

When John Major heard Cameron was planning an In/Out referendum he warned Cameron this was suicide for the country if the referendum was lost…He pointed out where the problem would lie, the Irish border and the GFA…No Irish government could accept anything other than the open border between the North and Republic of Ireland as this was part of the Belfast Treaty signed by the US/EU/Ireland and the UK……However Cameron was arrogant and convinced he could carry the referendum, and as usual as history has shown people don't always see common sense…This is solely a UK self inflicted problem, the EU agreed a withdrawal agreement with the previous UK government and this took over 2 years to come to an acceptable plan…The rest is history as the DUP threw a spanner right into the cogs of this agreement, now the stupidity of their argument is they don't want to be separated from the rest of the UK????…How fcuking stupid is that?, they are on another island and separated physically…This is not like a little island of a mainland, had the border been drawn down the middle of the Irish sea they would have been part of the UK and free access to the EU without any customs complications…These ba$tards are mentally back in the 17th century and now their voters will suffer more than any other part of the UK in a no deal scenario…

Boris does NOT want to leave the EU!!!!!!!!!!! If you think about it, its quite devious really. Borris goes hell bent for leather on a NO DEAL, hoping either the government will find a way to stop him or that he runs out of time, or that he hits a vote of no confidence.!!!!!!! RESULT= Either way Boris will have to have a General Election BUT the he can show to the country that he has tried everything to make BREXIT happen and carried out his word as promised so he could remain as Prime minister with probably a bigger majority thatn he's ever had. Therefore we remain in the EU and Boris carries on domestic business as usual.!!!

I suggest a solution, make new negotiations with the Republic of Ireland, not NI but the southern part. The backstop is the biggest issue, our government and their's need to make a proper deal. e.g. free flow of people if certain trades and investments can be made with the UK. Ireland needs to stop relying on the big EU countries negotiating for them. This is the only way to prevent a temporary or fixed border in the future.

i'm astonished that the Brits tolerate this—
already they've forgotten March 31st;
now they've got a forked-tongued BoJo
who only wants what's best for him
and so they'll wait until halloween
(isn't that interesting?)
before discovering they've been shafted
yet again
by their slave-masters via their puppets.
WHAT A FIASCO

No cheery picking, can't just do citizens rights. No trade deals with the US if the backstop is not upheld, the US has been vocal on this.
