US has conceded too much to Taliban, says Afghan vice-president – BBC News

Published

on

American troops in Afghanistan are at their lowest levels since 2001, which was the beginning of the US-led war in the country.
A troops pull out earlier this month was part of a deal signed between the Trump administration and the Taliban in February last year. According to it, all foreign forces are due to leave Afghanistan this spring. Peace talks are taking place between the Afghan government and the Taliban, but it’s unclear if and when they might result in a resolution. All of this comes against the backdrop of a significant surge in violence. The BBC’s Yogita Limaye spoke to Afghanistan’s Vice President Amrullah Saleh.

Usa and nato didn't want the lion of panshir to lead Afghanistan do didn't support with arms and were part of plan to kill him. Same now with President Saleh. He is the actual government not by terrorists put in by Trump and Pakistan and Qatar. Why? Because both masoud father son and Saleh say Afghanistan wants its own sovereignity. Trump biden Pakistan Qatar China Russia, They don't want Afghanistan to grow and get strong. Because of geopolitics, powers interests in controlling in minerals want to be in a free for all use and Bagram airbase and suck the country dry of minerals, worth trillions. They don't care for girls and women abused and kept in prison at home with burka. Humanity still has, a, while to understand that give freedom respect girls and women you have a prosperous and strong country. Look at those afghan women at high risk and speaking out like Saleh has. The usa, didn't eliminate talibans invading kandahar kabul and borders knowing they were ruling cruel tyranny during 20 years. Why? The USA, didn't want to build a powerful nation independent. Make them weak, wars and you can use all the land. Poor troops, lied to going there to defend democracy and get rid of terrorists. And see on ground the infiltrated talibans in the afghan army for wages and a gun food. The world is waking up to the truth of two worlds geopolitics mercenaries dressed in suits and the people fighting for a better world dying for their industries. Now is time to pressure to get talibans out.

Amrullah Saleh is a great leader with excellent communication skills BUT with wrong assumptions, that's why he failed in due course…He also undermined T.ali.ban in his whole political career, despite knowing that T.aliban was governing 50% of the Afghanistan parallel to its government. He totally ignored the abilities to govern, aspect of patriotism and truthfulness among Ta.liban for their country. He relied too much and also fell in the trap of the countries who are either coward, deceiver and power hunger. Those countries were there only for their specific purpose, like creating hegemony among muslim world in particular.
He could have engaged with Ta.libs and transform them in stages rather than dragged them into direct conforantations…!
Again! great leader, firm and stubborn BUT with wrong assumptions..!

US hits ‘dozens’ of Iranian sites in strikes, as Iran targets US bases in region | BBC News

on

The US said it has hit “dozens” of Iranian military targets in overnight attacks, in response to Iran hitting commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

The military said it struck “air-defense systems, coastal radar sites, missile and drone capabilities, and small boats”, using aircraft, ships, and drones – including “one-way attack sea drones for the first time”.

“The Strait of Hormuz is a vital maritime corridor for global trade,” the US military said. “Iran does not control it”.

In response, Iran said it targeted US bases in Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait and also radar systems in Oman.

Trump demands 20% toll on cargos passing through strait of Hormuz | BBC News

Published

on

President Donald Trump has said the US is reinstating a naval blockade of Iranian ports and will impose a 20% charge on all cargo shipped through the Strait of Hormuz following days of escalating strikes between the two countries.

He said this would stop “Iran’s ships or customers” from entering or leaving the key oil shipping route, but “all other countries will have fair and open use of the Strait”.

Iran’s foreign minister later said whoever provides safe passage “should be compensated for this service”, but Iran would remain the strait’s “GUARDIAN” – using Trump’s word.

Tehran and Washington clashed over the strait’s control after exchanging strikes in the region overnight and on Monday.

The US said it carried out strikes against military targets in Iran, targeting air defence systems, coastal radars, and missile and drone sites. Iran said it responded by striking US military bases in Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain, and radars in Oman.

US launches more strikes on Iran and resumes naval blockade of ports | BBC News

The US military said it was carrying out a new wave of strikes on targets in Iran. It said the aim of the attacks was to degrade Iran’s ability to attack shipping in the strait of Hormuz. It came ass the US Navy resumed its blockade of Iran’s ports.

Iran said that control of the strait of Hormuz was required for its national security and it will exercise sovereignty over the key shipping lane, whatever the cost.
