Youtube is recommending me to rewatch all the Chef Skills Challenges. And I have to laugh when I hear Ben say at 0:19 that we near the end of the competition… and more than a year later we finally get the finale of the Chef Skill Challenges.

This right here is actually useful information for me. Sometimes, we've got some herbs left because the portions available at the store are larger than we'd use (just the wife and I). I never thought about putting them in butter or oils to keep them for awhile. I feel ashamed to not know this stuff at 40.

  13. @abigailgerlach5443

    January 5, 2024 at 1:02 pm

You can NOT screw up a crumble! It's impossible! Or not.🤷

  14. @michaelreis8647

    January 5, 2024 at 1:02 pm

Concerning safety, at least here in Canada, leaving open tin cans with product inside still without putting it in another container is a health code violation.

  15. @GingaGirl2000

    January 5, 2024 at 1:02 pm

here in Finland, the most common type of topping for these sorts of fruit crumbles I've seen is actually made from oats! Though the way you do that is you fry the oats in a very generous amount of butter along with sugar and spices. they kind of stick together and get a bit caramel-y? just the oat topping is pretty good for ice cream too, if you don't have sprinkles for example but want something crunchy 🙂 just be careful not to burn the oats and sugar!

  16. @samsnyder5181

    January 5, 2024 at 1:02 pm

If u had the seasoning could have made a version of kimchi

  17. @JudithOpdebeeck

    January 5, 2024 at 1:02 pm

lets be honest, did anyone expect BEN of all people to say "no not booze"?!

  18. @H3nryum

    January 5, 2024 at 1:02 pm

I have a suggestion: homechef training using the sorted name but Sort Ed or Sorted Ed, that follows or is based off the existing videos

  19. @95rav

    January 5, 2024 at 1:02 pm

preservation: vacuum seal or just freeze. Sorted.
    Or just let dry.

  23. @randomperson4208

    January 5, 2024 at 1:02 pm

Jamie's turn on making the lunch is definitely entertaining! 😂😂

  24. @Kiasis

    January 5, 2024 at 1:02 pm

Just so you know, I leave a like when Mike successfully flip this "Okonomiyaki", well done. 👍

  25. @rudekki

    January 5, 2024 at 1:02 pm

"leftover stroopwafels" what is this blasphemy

  26. @kikibennett8788

    January 5, 2024 at 1:02 pm

Honestly rewatched Jamie's segment so many times and Mike's huttlestorm persuasions just made this so epic 😂

  27. @slvsfr

    January 5, 2024 at 1:02 pm

After several years on a food cooking show, are the normals still really "normal"? Did they learn nothing? Are they still "normal"? How many badges does it take to make a jr chef?

  28. @skilletborne

    January 5, 2024 at 1:02 pm

    "Normals"
Honestly, while they aren't the best at cooking, their knowledge of cuisine really elevates them past most home cooks

  29. @NaramSinofAkkad790

    January 5, 2024 at 1:02 pm

The way Ben say "okonomiyaki" is my favorite thing.

  30. @nixonpark683

    January 5, 2024 at 1:02 pm

Here's the best versus challenge idea – everyone gets 30 minutes to cook and everyone not cooking SHUTS THE FUCK UP AND LET'S THEM WORK

  31. @BradKandyCroftFamily

    January 5, 2024 at 1:02 pm

In America we have a pickled green bean called Dilly Beans. They are sooooo lovely. One of my favorite pickles/ferments.

  32. @EfHaichDee

    January 5, 2024 at 1:02 pm

Why am I not surprised to learn that Jamie is a diva behind the scenes lol

  33. @isabellpetrasch3553

    January 5, 2024 at 1:02 pm

    intuitiv fridge raid man!!!

  34. @brianmacadam4793

    January 5, 2024 at 1:02 pm

How about a show on the overall team, how does it all work ? Are there topic meetings ? Give an overview of a before and after of a show. How often does disaster occur; and what happens when things go "pear shaped". What is thought of as a "top five" success, what's some of the shows no-one wants to remember.

  35. @floray7539

    January 5, 2024 at 1:02 pm

16:20 I'm horrified he took a bite out of that stroopwafel before putting in the blender and eventually serving it to other people wtfffff

  36. @Alex_P

    January 5, 2024 at 1:02 pm

Another badge idea: butcher badge (chicken, fish, pig, beef, etc.)

  37. @thecreeper4619

    January 5, 2024 at 1:02 pm

I'm sorry, Sorted has lost something… It's just not what is was or can be… I think fame has irerfeared with creativity… hope they come around

  38. @JasonBaker-ti4qr

    January 5, 2024 at 1:02 pm

How to preserve leftovers? Use half a block of butter/half a bottle of oil/half a bottle of vinegar. All of which are expensive lmao. Probably more expensive than the things they are trying to save.

  39. @sheilanc1

    January 5, 2024 at 1:02 pm

Next time Jamie just do a salt ferment and you will get your badge.

  40. @pyrogenetix

    January 5, 2024 at 1:02 pm

This was such a great episode. Useful knowledge and tips, an absolute giggle fest, snarky quick witted comments and then in the end everyone is just happy for each other for getting badges. Really this might be the best squad ever.

  41. @destroy141

    January 5, 2024 at 1:02 pm

I love how jam was an option for food preservation when the proper way to make it takes hours
