Close the boarders for starters we were way to overpopulated here before the immigration crisis and honestly if anyone reads this and has emigrated here or seeked asylum here thanks for that you butchered our job market and leeched our benefits and caused a housing crisis like we needed more of that already you screwed over the people who offered you safety and sanctuary and practically spat in the face of the nationals know this i blame you for this situation here get out of my country

Utter gibberish. The only thing this racist dinosaur got right was that the fault lies in parliament – specifically at the feet of the right wing, neo liberal ideology of the Tories since Thatcher !

Britain's economic implosion is the final settlement of Thatcher and her economic policies, Thatcherism. Far too high a percentage of the national income goes to private capital and not into the hands of Labour.

Britain deserves the economic implosion it's undergoing.

Magna Carta is relevant here. For me personally it has been a class issue for a long time. There is a group of middle-class lefties who have been determined in every way possible to assert themselves above everyone else. In the past it was shopping at M&S and obsessing over brands to make others feel worthless. Now, it's eco-protesting. It's about time we take things back to basics. A new British bill of rights with strong laws around personal liberty and freedom and end the long-running class struggle once and for all. Abolish modern-slavery in all it's forms and unfair practices that stifles innovation and people's ability to make a good living. In addition, create a points-based immigration system and deport those who should not be here. The NHS needs to be cut-back to essential services and an Australian-style insurance system introduced with the
ability to switch yearly for a better price. This will create jobs and lower national debt. And finally, create a repayment student loan system that provides discounts or incentives to study STEM subjects.

Totally obvious! Country is finished, through mass immigration.Millions and millions and millions and millions more to swarm in, nothing to stop them!

Every country will follow soon. Renewables will not cut it and the real issue is we have very little oil left and the powers that be are collapsing economic activity around the world to preserve the rest

Its because socialism was and always is communist infiltration. The steady creep via increments to authoritarianism, tyranny and dictatorialism. The covid, medical facism was the externalisation of this fact to the public. The devil will not come to you with horns, red skin and a pitchfork, he will come as an angel of light speaking many pleasantries, "love", but he is a deceiver, inwardly a ravenous wolf.

Starkey has lost his marbles – I am glad we can agree that the country is in decline, after 13 years of Tory incompetence – and a disasterous brexit vote. It seemed we voted for this decline….!!!

David Starkey is absolutely right. The forces within are totally destroying this country. The White men and women that hate themselves, are self-loathing, hate this country, it's culture and it's history. The white man brought about the new industrialized age and the modern western civilisation and the white man will destroy it too in a very short order.

I feel sorry for all those people who didn't want Brexit to happan and foresaw the disaster. Ok, it's not all due to Brexit but much of it is and the other aspects are much worse because of it. And even worse, the EU is obviously right in not wanting to have the trouble makers back, not even in EFTA. So the UK will have to go on with squaring the circle.

  26. @jmo8934

    January 5, 2024 at 12:13 am

But everything is fine. The brexiteers said there were no downsides to Brexit. Only advantages. And that’s all that the Uk is getting. Upsides are all we are seeing. Britains reputation has not been thrashed. Corruption is not rife. Lunatics are not in charge of everything. The economy is not going down the pan with billions upon billions wasted and Liz Truss was never PM and didn’t blow £30bn overnight with a deranged mini budget. The Bank of England didn’t have to step in to save everyone’s pension funds. The worst death toll in Europe didn’t happen under Bojo from covid and there was no partying by the whole gang in number 10 while everyone else was under house arrest missing funerals etc. Dominic Cummings only drove the length of the country to test his eyesight. There was no proroguing of parliament. There are no massive queues at Dover. There is £350m a week now going to the NHS that won’t be going to Europe with no need for a rise in national insurance as stated in the last Tory manifesto. There was no billions spent on duff PPE to line the pockets of Tory donors and unelected lords. £29m didn’t end up in Michelle Mones bank account. The British government didn’t admit that they were fully intending to break the law by reneging on a deal that they negotiated and signed with the EU having described it as oven ready. The list of things that never happened goes on. It’s just as well or Britain could have been in a spot of bother.

How can a handful of authoritarian dictators control an entire city in "15 minute" travel blocks. Rearm Britons. Start with cricket bats. I s this why you threw off the socialist yoke of the E.U. ? Here in rural eastern Iowa, no lockdown of adults. No masks most places after a couple months and the kids only missed 2 or 3 months of school. No mass die off from covid. It's very hard to control people with both minds of their own and pistols on their belts. (In my own case, perhaps a weak mind but you get the point.) Merry Christmas my British friends.

Is that it? Britain on the brink of collapse? Yes of course, but probably not for the reasons GBN would suggest. The whole Woke thing is a bit of scam and red herring. The real problems is with decades of economic mismanagement and corruption, to keep those at the very top in the lifestyles they demand, and to keep everyone else in a state of relative poverty, and distracted by things that don't matter like wokeism, gender bending ideology and Saturday night celebrity dance offs. If the country was booming, not laundering dirty Russian money and exempting the uber rich from taxation, we'd be in a very different place right now. If we had invested heavily in education and so called 'levelling up' and had focused on creating jobs and reducing the tax burden for SME's Britain could be a force to be reckoned with. As it is, we're a laughing stock. All we have left is flag waving (Russian style) and wet dreams of an empire long gone. We're starting to look more like a Latin American basket case with each passing day, with dishonest, incompetent tin pot leaders, and a divided and polarized population, who are mostly clueless about the world around them.
