Carole Malone fumes as a record £12bn was spent on benefits for immigrants last year alone.
That is up 57% since 2023, and around 25% since 2024, according to the Centre for Migration Control.
A government spokesman said: “Under this Government, net migration is down by 82 per cent from its 2023 peak. Only people who are in the UK legally can claim taxpayer-funded benefits, of which around half are in work.
“Last November, we set out proposals to reform settlement which will double the standard qualifying period to 10 years for most migrants, with shorter routes for those who contribute most to the UK.”

Just a reminder that not one of you – including Nigel gave a damn about all the individuals, and business and charities that lost their accounts BEFORE this for having the wrong opinion. Particularly Independent journalists that were punished for reporting on the wrong truth!
