I'm just so weird. That looks so good- with the exception of the soft boiled eggs. Yuck

When will we be seeing you guy's in a proper Pie & Mash shop?

Clearly have probably never cooked palak chicken or saag "world's biggest amount of spinach" 😂
Saag is not spinach but a type of commonly cooked greens South Asia.

You do not want to be a teacher. When I was at school I did want to be a teacher and so during my work experience I spent a week with teachers. Every one of them told me NOT to go down that path.

  8. @Rohanadarilin

    January 4, 2024 at 1:28 pm

i'm a teacher and a homecook. And I think Ben would have made a fine teacher himself. But let's be honest, i'm soooooooo happy he went the cuisine route instead! Makes for lots more videos for me to watch while i'm grading stupid grammar exercises. 😀

  9. @jakubmjartan

    January 4, 2024 at 1:28 pm

Disclaimer: I do have a half of bottle of home made hooch in me, but…

I teard up during Ben´s QaA. You are, indeed, our teacher. Thank you for all the information 🙂

Loved that episode… the fish pie approach was different to what I do but willing to try but the biggest thing was the "I'd have been a teacher" As someone that did a bunch of roles in high tech I ended up teaching people (still do as a contractor) and it is satisfying to pass on the skills you have

This is in my oven right now (with some added peas and prawns). Kitchen smells wonderful!

I think Ben is a wonderful teacher via sorted. I love listening to him explain things and he always makes information accessible and interesting. He has a very comforting and reassuring voice and a friendly way of explaining things. Loved the video guys x

13 in 2000. The others play on Ben being old. Wish I was that young

Me and my dad always put Malt Vinegar on Fish Pie. You don't have to go mad but It just brings out another dimension of flavour.

  21. @JaiIgnacio

    January 4, 2024 at 1:28 pm

That was the exact same book I got for Christmas from my mum when I was 16. First thing I cooked for my parents from it were the Botham Burgers. Went down a treat.

  22. @woodstream6137

    January 4, 2024 at 1:28 pm

Love Ben's attitude as a student and teacher

  23. @gitaristje007

    January 4, 2024 at 1:28 pm

Tonight I cooked a similar dish (haddock in a creamy sauce with veg) and it was applauded 🙂 especially in times when we can't go to a restaurant, the comment "it feels like we're at a restaurant" felt great

  24. @garrity5

    January 4, 2024 at 1:28 pm

One of my favourite episodes. Very real. Love it!

  25. @JanTheNan

    January 4, 2024 at 1:28 pm

I'm back here after 2 years, and when Jamie said "Barry could barely spell his name" makes me wonder, is Barry's real name is Barrington? That will be amazing if it is

  28. @iamnotvanessa7460

    January 4, 2024 at 1:28 pm

Hahah i knew there was a reasom why Ben reminds me of a teacher all the time 😀 basically every sprted video is a school trip, teacher looking after 3 wild students 😀 you are doing amazing bud

  29. @EsmeBateesa

    January 4, 2024 at 1:28 pm

I've never put eggs in fish pie 😯 is that normal?

  30. @sammybabi

    January 4, 2024 at 1:28 pm

Ben would be a great teacher. He teaches us so much about why we do certain things w cooking

  31. @BlairAR

    January 4, 2024 at 1:28 pm

Anyone know if this recipe could serve 6 instead of 4?

  32. @speedreader2660

    January 4, 2024 at 1:28 pm

Why is Ben such a wholesome, genuine individual?

  33. @shkudo4457

    January 4, 2024 at 1:28 pm

The ending music just gives a nostalgic theme to an already personal video I love it.. I don’t know why I’m replaying all sorted videos must be the quarantine 🤧

  34. @billhaley3285

    January 4, 2024 at 1:28 pm

    January 4, 2024 at 1:28 pm

You just can't help but love Ben. He is so genuine and real. I love his zest for his craft. He is amazing. I totally understand why you would want to be a teacher, I am a teacher and I love it. I teach college level physics. Not the same as cooking, but fun regardless.

  41. @iwolfdk

    January 4, 2024 at 1:28 pm

    Who is Janice?

  42. @thunderkrux7745

    January 4, 2024 at 1:28 pm

I can definitely see Ben being a teacher

  43. @axeraw3813

    January 4, 2024 at 1:28 pm

I love hearing about ben’s first experience in the kitchen but oh my god that dish is my literal worst nightmare! I hate eggs and fish and mashed potato is the devil’s food in my opinion so love u guys but my gosh is my appetite below zero on this one

  44. @Sunny-ot1vo

    January 4, 2024 at 1:28 pm

Same thing with me Ben. I first baked a coffee cake, something similar to a pound cake, with a butter, sugar, cinnamon crumble. I make it today cause it’s easy and everyone likes it. It was my gateway to baking which lead to my passion for cooking as well. Now I love to entertain and have friends around any chance I can.
