Tinned cod liver! Absolute treat. In fact I lived in Uk for 18+ years but I always bring a tin (or 40 😂) back to Uk. Weirdest thing I find is I can’t get it here but probably was caught in these shores 🤔🤪
Also another thing ends in my suitcase are smoked sprats. Delicious 🤤

Tinned mussels is very popular in South Africa. Serve it up with a cheese board. Nom nom nom.

Checking on Amazon, we can’t get Monkfish liver here in the States. But I recognized that as liver right away, as it looked like cod livers.❤

As a kid I seen thousands of bags of monkfish livers shipped to Asian markets from Gloucester, MA. It helped turn an unwanted fish into a sustainable catch for fishermen under tight restrictions.

Razor clams all the way!! My husband is originally from Washington State and got to grow up clamming every season (when red tide allowed) and razor clams were his favorite thing in the world. Battered and fried, cooked in clam chowder or from a can even; it's instant nostalgia for him. We go back to visit from time to time but I got to have my first crack at clamming a few years ago to get my own fresh when we flew out there and 🤤 they're worth every penny. There's shops down by the beaches that sell canned razor clams in the off seasons and I also got to pack a bag full of them for my return home so I could have some for special occasions!

What about a blind tinned fish & meats tasting? Would be interesting to know how the monkfish liver compares to other tinned livers. Or just a Guess Who's Coming to Liver?

i always love tinned mussels !! one of my fav canned seafoods. I would have loved if you could test canned lobster in this discussion, because i have no idea how to use them and they smell really fishy to me

Spain produces so much delicious tinned seafood. A lot of other countries, especially European ones produce great tinned seafood too, but I feel like I see Spanish seafood dominating most websites I look at.

    That is prime Ebbers

BTW, in most Northern European countries you can get the tin fish liver in various forms (also smoked, natural, and with herbs). As for the battered fish, Poland is expert at this.
Paired with good bread and a side of whole sweet pickled cucumber , it is a delight!
    Give it another try….
