    In the first one you can use spring onion instead of coriander if coriander tastes like soap to you

    2:55 My little trick, to level up potstickers is to add rice vinegar to the water (play with the ratios to find your ideal). When the water cooks away, the potstickers are left with that lovely toastiness, and a thin layer of tart-sweet caramel. I sometimes use mirin, as it also works, and imparts a nice flavor. SOOOO TASTY! It is a great tip to try, especially with frozen dumplings. It makes them just a bit more special.🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🥰😋😋😋💐💐🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻💋💋🇺🇸🌸

    Does anyone else find it really gross when they touch their food together before they eat it? I know it hasn't gone in the mouth yet, so technically it's fine, but it gives me the creeps.

    A quick tip for anyone making their own pasta or dumpling sheets at home, once the sheet is rolled out, to keep the layers separated, use tapioca or corn flour on top as because those flours contain no gluten it will stay separated from the dough, ie won't work itself into the pasta/dumpling sheets.

    i think you've summed up my feelings about dumplings perfectly. sometimes it's great to focus on just the filling and use premade skins, and other times it's fun to make everything from scratch so you can say, i made all that. great video, gents.

    Quarantine wasn't all bad. I discovered y'all around my bday in April and y'all've made the madness disappear for us more times than you know. You've given us reason to smile and giggle, and lbh, rendering ppl carefree and happy in 2020 was kind of a big deal.     Making your own dumpling dough also offers greater flexibility, because I'm sure as you've noticed the dough is far more pliable when it's fresh.

    All of these look so much more appetising than my grandma’s, as she insists on hand making the “wrappers” (which are basically a thick flour pastry) and using ground meat that the butcher are selling at a discount because they are gonna go off, with some vegetable that has been in the fridge when the Japanese still colonised Taiwan. And because of stupid filial piety bullshit, I can’t even tell her that or say what literally everyone in the family feels about her dish (she knows how to cook most things but she use shitty ingredients and the dumpling is the one thing I’ve always hated but have no choice but to eat it because if I go out and buy something I actually want to eat, it’s “disrespectful”)

    I wish she would at least use pre made skin instead of making her own fucked up skin

    Funny thing is that Kenwood in the US is a car stereo company, not kitchen appliances. Here Kitchen Aid which was the consumer division of Hobart (pro kitchen appliance mfr) until it was bought by Whirlpool.
