Nigeria has been hit with some of its worst flooding in over a decade, with more than 500 deaths since July.
The floods have also forced 1.4 million people to leave their homes, according to the UN humanitarian coordinator for the nation, Matthias Schmale.
“We’re currently seeing the worst floods in ten years in Nigeria,” he said.
Around 90,000 homes are submerged due to floods in 27 of the country’s 36 states.

Transgender people in India were granted legal status in 2014 but many face discrimination and struggle to find work.
According to activist Dr Santosh Kumar from the transgender rights group Rista, there are an estimated five million transgender people in India, commonly known as hijra – a definition that also includes transsexuals, cross-dressers, eunuchs and transvestites.
While some businesses are becoming more inclusive, activists feel more needs to be done.

Why the lies!! This has nothing to do with climate. Our government refused to build a control dam in Adamawa, to navigate the water from Cameroon each time Cameroon open up their dam into the river that connects to ours. Why did this guy lie??

Climate change cannot be blamed for this only. Nigerians and their government hate themselves this much that they rather steal money to show off than to build infrastructure and help themselves…

This is so sad and it does make you wonder – I am in England and it is well known the turmoil that is going on here with our government – BUT whatever hardships we may be facing here because of them, it is nowhere near what these people are facing. May God bless these people.
