Nigeria’s worst floods in decade see more than 500 deaths – BBC News
Nigeria has been hit with some of its worst flooding in over a decade, with more than 500 deaths since July.
The floods have also forced 1.4 million people to leave their homes, according to the UN humanitarian coordinator for the nation, Matthias Schmale.
“We’re currently seeing the worst floods in ten years in Nigeria,” he said.
Around 90,000 homes are submerged due to floods in 27 of the country’s 36 states.

France and Spain continue to battle wildfires, as temperatures are expected to soar past 40C in some regions in the coming days.
Spain’s national weather service says the severe weather is forecast to last until “at least” Sunday, and warns of “extreme” fire risks as firefighters continue to battle the some of the worst blazes in the country’s history.
France’s south-west regions Gironde and Landes are under “yellow alert” for a heatwave expected to peak on Wednesday, further hampering efforts to contain “very unpredictable” blazes in Gironde.
The mayor of Bordeaux has said he is preparing for “all eventualities”, as one of the wildfires burning in France is 15km (nine miles) from the south-western city.

This is caused by climate climate change, Nigeria bad government don’t have to be blamed only, united nation was supposed to have warned Africa countries about Climate Change and how serious it should be taken to prevent this from happening.
