Zimbabwe food crisis fuelled by Ukraine war and climate change – BBC News
The UN says the Russia-Ukraine conflict has left many nations vulnerable to food insecurity.
Global food prices are at a near all-time high and more than a dozen countries are banning grain exports.
In Zimbabwe, maize production plummeted by 43% this year following long dry spells.
It’s one of the countries now seeking to import maize as well as find alternative sources for wheat and fertiliser previously sourced from Russia and Ukraine.
But can ancient knowledge offer a food security solution?

Have wildfires and heatwaves changed holidays in Europe for good? | BBC News
As parts of Europe continue to battle ongoing wildfires and persistent heatwaves, has the norm of a holiday in Europe changed forever?
Just this week, fires near tourist hotspots like Bordeaux were described as “fires of the century” and Spain declared a national emergency after wildfires swept near its capital of Madrid.
Meanwhile, the rising temperatures are having a knock-on effect to costs of holidaying in Europe, with sunbeds in some areas sometimes costing more than a flight to reserve.

Fires rage in France and Spain as heatwave returns | BBC News
France and Spain continue to battle wildfires, as temperatures are expected to soar past 40C in some regions in the coming days.
Spain’s national weather service says the severe weather is forecast to last until “at least” Sunday, and warns of “extreme” fire risks as firefighters continue to battle the some of the worst blazes in the country’s history.
France’s south-west regions Gironde and Landes are under “yellow alert” for a heatwave expected to peak on Wednesday, further hampering efforts to contain “very unpredictable” blazes in Gironde.
The mayor of Bordeaux has said he is preparing for “all eventualities”, as one of the wildfires burning in France is 15km (nine miles) from the south-western city.

Guess what BBC? This has been happening in Zimbabwe for decades! In what way does this relate to Russia and the Ukraine? Nonsense! Zimbabwe was once the biggest exporter of food in Africa before Mugabe took control.

Bumper wheat harvest in Zimbabwe, DW News.
Hadn't you better concentrate on the food bank lines, crippling cost of living, soaring energy prices, PPE scandals, and crumbling NHS in the UK instead of looking to deflect bad news elsewhere.😉

The problem is the sanctions placed on Russia by the west, the ripple effect is having devastating effect on poorer nations suffering added pressures from internal problems caused by inefficient corrupt government's exploited by the west.

Zim used to be the food basket of the continent. So, NO. The food crisis is not because of anything else. Its because of the heavy levels of corruption of Zim leaders.

Food crisis? There's enough food worldwide to stop hunger for ever, all this Food Crisis is an invention to simply leave the poor nations to their own luck. Ukraine never fed the planet so why act like Ukraine is the solution when it never was.

free Home Power
https://nuclearfusiononearth.blogspot.com/2022/07/free-home-power.html
Not involving any fossil fuel burn of radioactive materials. So totally safe and carbon zero! I did a lot of calculations calculations, but my American contact confirmed that a 30×1.5cm steam plasma the ready constant 1 MW of heat.
Natural rain or snow storms, already do molecular nuclear fusion. Turning regular water into helium and oxygen gases, with massive heat and lower power X rays.

Russia is a reliable supplier of food, which is 95% for African countries. Ukraine does not supply grain there. Due to the EU and UA sanctions on transportation, the volume of supplies from Russia may decrease. We hope Russia will cope with the obstacles !
