Because Newcastle's group is quite tight couldn't the BBC split the screen showing the score and text from both matches give a complete up to date picture all in one place. Surely BBC has the technical expertise to make this happen.

The skunks are miles away from being a big club. Decent championship team, at best. Up the toffees.

To most Newcastle fans, the Saudi side of things is an irrelevance. Yes we put up with the oil money and sportswashing jibes, when in reality, because of FFP, Newcastle had far less to spend than most Premier League sides due to chronic underinvestment by Ashley. The board bought wisely, got a great (and underrated at the time) manager in Eddie Howe along with Trippier and Guimares. They poached Chris Woods off Burnley and ironically sealed Burnley's fate and relegation. Then performed a miracle in climbing away from the relegation zone from a losing proposition no other team had achieved. The following season they qualified for the Champions League, 5 years ahead of the 10 year plan!

As a Sunderland fan, im bitter but at the same time ill be a realist. Football means everything in these ends, no matter what side your on, tyneside or wearside. At the end if the day, i respect them and although a lot of the fans are toxic, thats just what you get in football. Fair play to them.

Sports washing is a hide of what is really happening. Name one time positive towards the nation has been a massive success in that country they buy into? In fact instantly 19 other city’s hate you in one country.
Like the Saudi League, WWE, etc. Saudi is worried they have a large number of young males, as they have pressed to increase the population as quick as they can as it will be needed to maintain a leading growing country in a Carbon Free world (why do you think 🇺🇸old money cry’s so much about the same?); but unlike the wars they invest in, like in Sierra for example; bring democracy; they do not want that for themselves. So how do they keep a large idealistic young population educated in or by Europe that are moving in to young adults from wanting that for themselves…? You make them happy, really happy! you keep them entertained with the best in the world; so that they are to busy doing both to want change. Don’t be thick and fall for it. Don’t you think they could shut all that sport-washing down if they have a care? All the governments give them whatever they want; whatever they want to do doesn’t get stopped a second.

Why do they keep going on and on about Saudi Arabia? doesn't your country support Isreal?

Newcastle and their fans are great. But lets get serious here, a sleeping giant, i dont think so. It will be Be a long long time before Newcastle ever win the Premier league, if ever. They may win a cup, if they get the right draws. A bit off a run in Europe, and im afraid thats it.

Fans from other clubs pretending that they care about human rights issues in Saudi Arabia 😂 The average westerner these days cares more about their Wi-Fi signal.

Living in the North East. It's amazing how many people I've found out "support" Newcastle since the takeover. Never knew they supported Newcastle before that.

Haters are going to hate and it's jealousy, we have gone through a horrendous time under the ownership of Ashley and he never embraced our fan base. In the short time since the takeover happened the new owner's have totally embraced the club and City and have done some cracking business recruiting a Top manager and his team, Tripps is the best signing and still can't believe it 😅 the future is bright and long may it continue

Football fans really do not seem to have any morals at times. It's only a game. Fans need to be part owners in club ownerships and this sort of football washing is unlikely to happen. Too bad it won't happen.
