    Ah, so the cash needs paid back and it's not a down payment for coercing a nation to be adopting a credit system then, a sort of cushion payment during transition for the technocrats reset if you like.

    what lies the bank of england bought all the HM TREASURY issued bonds and gilts in last 20 months and who owns the bank of england ? theres no debt to repay from the last 20 months its been a rigged market more than half of uk national debt is BOE(the state) owned

    Brilliant to see Boris and the Conservatives doing so well in the polls. Not that they should be complacent.

    Correct to recover some of the debt. People will have to tighten their belts but ignoring it will be worse. Quite right to end the Social Care funding difficulty and quite brave too.
