lets have a photograph of the person or persons who are hiding under the banks name who instigated this trend of lunacy someone with a very small weiner is my bet.

Farage took this into the public arena. He's behaving like a petulant child, if a business doesn't want to be associated with him that's their call, also quite simply he wants to be part of a club where he simply can't afford the membership.

Yes, change the law and make it a legal right to have a bank account, and cash should always be an option to use, pay with in ANY shop or outlet. People are not criminals for using cash. It is practically the best option between people at any given time.
A cashless society is just a dead Society, a dead Democracy. A Tyrants paradise as long as the Tyrant remain in power…..but the second they are knocked down a few notches, they will scream blue murder and say the system is unfair. Hypocrites, that's what all those WEF politicians are. Cash is A MUST for a society to Function.

What have the banks got to be worried about they know all the customers information. As well as they indirectly can alter the whole of our economy. That puts them in a whole powerfull situation. What they cannot do, legally or otherwise, is refuse to serve their customers.

If you are accused of a CRIME by the STATE… you are supposed innocent until proven guilty.

Nigel isn't accused of a crime, not that we or he knows of… So your whole "innocent until proven guilty thing" does not apply.

There are MILLIONS of people in the UK who don't qualify even for a standard private/individual bank account.
Without an ADDRESS you cannot open a bank account.

There are millions in the UK who CANNOT GET a bank account nevermind lost one…
When will you EVER discuss that?

NEVER because that doesn't suit your narrative.

  16. @hiredranger7410

    December 27, 2023 at 12:20 am

On the upside. This totally stops the move towards a cashless society. In other countries banks must offer basic services. Not the UK. Be wary when they move to pass them because that would be why. Not to protect us from banks undermining democracy or actively discriminating against those characteristics protected by existing law. The laws are already there. They need to be enforced. There are also banking regulations which this would seem to breach. But like most financial regulation. It is a joke.

There’s a Christian charity in the USA that had their bank account closed after an online harassment campaign (directed at their bank) by a small group of LGBTQ + activists. The charity also mentioned the damage to their reputation. This is a danger for everyone. Cross the wrong person ? Have a disagreement? Have the wrong opinion ? Don’t comply with a group’s ideology? Speak up for yourself ? Too bad, bank account closed. Also the problem with existing anti-monopoly laws not being enforced, and favoritism. We need many independent smaller local banks so people can take their business and money elsewhere. The current corporate financial monopolies makes that difficult.

The government should have accounts at all banks. When this shit happens the relevant minister gets the bank CEO on the carpet for a bollocking making it clear that the government's accounts in that bank will be closed and that will be made public.

Zia Yusuf delivers a scathing critique of both the Conservative and Labour parties, accusing them of failing the British public on immigration and foreign aid. In this explosive segment, the Reform UK Home Affairs spokesperson claims the country has experienced “the biggest wave of untrammelled mass immigration ever seen,” placing the blame squarely on successive governments.

Yusuf outlines why Reform UK is launching a new inquiry into what he calls the “Boriswave,” arguing that border policies under recent leadership have left the UK exposed. He raises concerns about public safety, national priorities, and whether the current system is truly serving the interests of the British people.

In this week’s Chopper’s Political Podcast, Christopher Hope is joined by Tom Harwood and Katherine Forster to examine the growing debate around the UK state pension and the “triple lock.”

With Reform UK now joining other major parties in backing the policy, the discussion explores why the triple lock remains politically untouchable, despite rising concerns over its long-term cost. The panel breaks down how the system works, why it was introduced, and how it has helped reduce pensioner poverty, while also raising questions about fairness between generations.

They also look at the mounting financial pressures facing the UK, including the rising cost of pensions, slow economic growth, and an ageing population. Could the triple lock become unsustainable in the future? And if so, what alternatives might be considered?
