W-A-Y back when I was in Culinary School, I had to learn to Tournée. To pass my Knife Skills Test while in Basics, I had to turn out three EXACTLY THE SAME. I passed on my second go. Worst torture for a Rookie Chef? Have them Tournée an entire sack of potatoes… then turn them into mashed. 😄

  18. @PrincessHarmony10

    December 26, 2023 at 5:35 am

Hearing y'all speak French makes me laugh a lot, but as a French-speaking person, Ben's French is actually pretty good !

  19. @OnenessVoices

    December 26, 2023 at 5:35 am

Americans and Britishs, are You sure that “burger-based culinary” country really able to understand MUCH MORE delicious French, Italy, or even Ukraine cooking? Really?

I think You may less joking about French language (just because this is so stupid), and more reading a books. Real books in which 80-100 years age best chefs put thousands of working hours and thinking more before write or say something…

  20. @fatalicus

    December 26, 2023 at 5:35 am

Almost 3 years since this video now, and while still good fun, i still get annoyed that they decided to argue about the noissete potatoes instead of checking the book, which would have told them Ben was right in the shape.

  21. @Beeza56

    December 26, 2023 at 5:35 am

Came in with a negative mindset and thought you might be taking the piss out of my “go to” reference (THF apprentice ‘71-75), but was pleasantly surprised. Subscribed.
