I'm sorry, but on Montezuma's, all I could think of was Montezuma's revenge. Not something I'd want a foodstuff to be called, for sure.

It's chocolate! 'Nuf said! It should be one of the four basic food groups.
There is NO alternative to chocolate! Peasant!
I actually prefer white pepper. I sneeze a lot though.
I hate coffee…so… no comment.
Very luxurious experience. I wouldn't buy it, but please feel free to send me one! Lol

The vegan gummie calendar is a good idea for families. Each person puts one together and then they get mixed up and assigned to another person so you don't know what is in each box.

If you've missed the deadline for making (or buying) an advent calendar, you can instead do a calendar for the twelve days of Christmas, from Christmas to epiphany. Then you only have 12 ideas to come up with instead of 24. I don't recall what kind of items I put in when I did one, little trinket things like stationery and stuff I'd imagine.

If you buy a Jigsaw Puzzle as a gift you don't make it before you gift it, do you ? The advent calendar is for the recipient to build.

My only complaint is the F&M calendar isn't available for US customers, and no one (like Macy's) has stepped up to make their own version.

Friend of mine made a tea advent calendar for her boyfriend, and one for his sister. Lots of work….
I got the real luxury item from him, a whiskey calendar. Did taste about 1cl each day, but I still have most of it. 🙂

best advent calendar i ever had was as a kid, my brother brought me a kinder surprise one from Germany, so i got a kinder egg with a toy every single day. my sisters might have been even better, because it was a little lego kit every day.
and 2 years ago i got my mum a seed calendar, which was a new packet of seeds every day (i think i got her the edible one, so it was all veggies and things that you could grow and eat, but you can get a flower one too)

The spice one interested me. I guess it would make a change from the usual Galaxy or Cadbury's ones.

The coffee from India is labelled as Bababandugiri. It is actually Baba Budangiri. It is named after a mystic who first brought coffee beans to India from Yemen.

Pass it on but you have to use a randomly selected spice blend from the advent calendar

I loved the coffee bags and the last expensive one, it was exquisite, but I do not live in the U. K. Or I would probably would buy one. My daughter bought her brother’s son, who will be 2 on Christmas Eve and Advent Calendar so he could count down the days to his birthday it has different cars and a helicopter ( of course the month is not over) the cars work by setting them on the floor and pulling back on them and that make them run across the floor he carried then first 3 around all day and played with them, his little hands could not hold 4. Elijah loves the calendar!

"Classic" = Weird organic Chocolate that no one has ever heard of. No No, the classic calendar is the one you get from the Dollar Store where the chocolate has taken on the taste of the cardboard.

Honestly though. If I could afford that last calendar then I probably would get it. It’s just the idea of that one bit of luxury each day. You don’t need to spend money on everything in your life, just that one thing that ads something to your life. For me that is a snack. It’s the little time one takes out of the day just for yourself that makes the difference. This calendar would be perfect for that.

I'm an avid knitter and have a yarn advent calendar this year that cost quite a lot (still not as much as that big one lol) but the difference is that I'm making an item that I could possibly have for the rest of my life. No shade to anyone who spends a lot on food gifts, but I would always rather invest in something that lasts!

Personally my favorite is the coffee calendar. And not even because I'm a coffee enthusiast, because I'm more of a tea drinker, but it's a gift that allows people to try different coffees every day and (most importantly to me) doesn't require ANY coffee machinery or extras. If it would just be beans you'd need a grinder. Just pods or pads and you'd need a specific machine. Instant makes it less special to me personally. These bags are innovative, reusable and give you something to look forward to every day, especially because it's such a routine thing for people to drink coffee in the morning. Great gift!
I also love the spice one but I feel like it gets a little bit of points deducted for being ingredients that are new to people and you can't get a spice mix, look at the recipe and decide "I'm going to make this today" without needing ingredients (for common people who don't have exotically stocked pantries and freezers) so there's less looking-forward-to in my opinion, even though the idea is fantastic.

All the calenders were interesting, but my first choice would be the coffee and second the spice one. Someone in the comments said they would like a tea one and I agree with that as well. I also saw another YT channel once had a cheese one and that would be one I would really love.
