Good job everyone! Loved the sticky pork, loved the black bao bun, loved the idea of a sweet treatment. They all photographed very well, but that black bun with the tuna was a stunner! Can't call a winner without tasting, though.

These guys defo grew up in the 90s, Mike saying 'Izzy Wizzy let's gets busy', from the mid 90s kids show Wizadora, which my younger sisters loved (i'm a 1980 kid, or old fart now lol).

Ingredient wise I would definitely go for the pork belly with charred corn personally but the other two looked great too. All ingredients of these threeI know can be delicious. Why not have all three as a bao bun flight! Who doesn't love a good bao? A couple of tips – have a perforated was paper liner in your steamer (you can buy these to the size of your steamer). Proof your dough overnight if you can – makes it a little fluffier and more flavourful. Try a chive and/or kimchi and/or pork mince bun (the fully enclosed kind) with a crispy bottom. And make lots because everyone will want seconds, thirds. Benefit over a burger – the bun or bao enclosed bottom means that you don't lose the juices over your trousers. Just your fingers.

Fan from Australia here. I love Sorted and have been overdosing on all their videos. I keep wanting to watch this one and I am I am in no way a purist, but every time they say 'bao bun' instead of just bao, a little part of me dies on the inside …

As someone that finds Cilantro/coriander tastes like soap, Barry's is an automatic third place at best.
Well dome Pork verses well done fruit desert… I would probably go for the desert bao just for the novelties' sake. So, Mike first, Jamie second, Barry not in the running.

I don't think I've seen a battle where Jamie has not incorporated meat, somehow! Lol! As for Barry's, I just don't know if I would want to eat the black bun….it does not look appetizing, to me.

As far as I'm concerned a great bao bun should contain a) pulled pork in a BBQ sauce, b) pickled carrot sticks and c) finely sliced hamburger dill pickles. And now I'm dribbling.
