English can't cook. Their food is very bland. Americans on the other hand… know how to make stuff taste good. Gordon Ramsey is a joke.

Add one or two fresh jalapeño peppers, with the seeds, or pickle them, slice them into rings, add salt, some sugar and vinegar, serve on the side.

Chili on rice? No thanks, doesn't need it. And no ground red pepper? Blasphemy I say!

  21. @MrAdnan252

    December 19, 2023 at 9:55 am

protip: Once you've drained the water, stick the rice back in the pan and have it sit covered, on a low heat for about 5 minutes. That should let some of the excess wetness dry off and steam the rice a bit further. Or, you know, measure the water and cook it properly. 2:1 water to rice is a pretty easy ratio to remember.

  22. @AnaRodriguez-wn8qq

    December 19, 2023 at 9:55 am

Help! This is a great recipe but the link doesn’t work anymore and I can’t find it with a google search

whats the point of slow cooking ground beef? i only use ground beef if i want something to cook quick. throw in some cubes of chuck and theyll become tender and juicy in a few hours.

  25. @jacobwilson627

    December 19, 2023 at 9:55 am

Why the fuck would you add beans to chili con carne??

  26. @vector222

    December 19, 2023 at 9:55 am

Just rofl at 'chili' that has rice but no chili or bell peppers

  27. @annabaya2215

    December 19, 2023 at 9:55 am

  32. @luffare91

    December 19, 2023 at 9:55 am

why no fresh chili in chili con carne?

  33. @lunar1983

    December 19, 2023 at 9:55 am

re: Gluten Free – most Ales contain gluten due to barley being a core ingredient so while the recipe can easily be gluten free care should be taken when adding ale. Also many stock cubes contain wheat. anyone with experience of cooking without gluten will be aware of which ales and stocks they can safely use. maybe you boys could clarify that dishes are only GF if GF ingredients are used.

I cook my rice with too much water and then drain with hot water to get rid of the starch. Then fluff it up a bit and it's done! I love my rice this way!
