Central bank digital currencies can ‘be programmed’ and ‘used against you!’ | Layah Heilpern

Published

on

‘The money can just be programmed to be used against you… It’s a really efficient way for governments to implement their political and woke agendas.’

Layah Heilpern joins Nigel Farage to discuss how a central bank digital currency (CBDC) would give the government greater control.

Genuine question: What happens if the government says you can't use Bitcoin at grocery/retail stores, to buy petrol, pay for electricity, buy a house etc etc – like it bans businesses from accepting it? So maybe you can get blackmarket things but not food electricity water etc. Aren't you basically in the same position as everyone else?

The govement s have become like pimps, first they say they have your back, the d they get you hooked on drugs. Once your hocked they control your money then once your under control they beat you if you step out of line. At this rate they will be selling us in to prostitution by 2030.. Fight the cbdc keep cash alive

A society without cash will fail within three years of full activation. We are not robots. Not everyone is easily programmed to accept what’s happening and will rebel. Humans are very good at working round obstacles. And one way to rebel is to stop using cards for a few weeks. That will upset the momentum. And all will come crashing down. Just like a house of cards.

Other options? Watch them disappear one by one. Governments and central banks derive enormous power from their ability to create "money" from thin air.
How likely is it that they will be willing to share or give up this power? Not a chance would be my reply and this is exactly why the alternatives to the CBDC
will all be eliminated, slowly, over a few years time. In the end, there will only be ONE currency and it will be a CBDC. That will be the point in time where
liberty dies, and probably to thunderous applause from all the half-wits out there.

    January 5, 2024 at 1:35 pm

2 aspects to this… Governments will become Billionaires because every one will be under total control in everyway that's thinkable while the decent hard working people will become poor . They're also terrified of mass rebellion against their future policies so, CBDC will be used to gain compliance over every person. Governments might be bought but the people have not been bought…

'The global financial architecture is outdated, dysfunctional, and unjust. It is no longer capable of meeting the needs of the 21st century … I have called for a new Bretton Woods moment – a moment for governments to come together, re-examine and re-configure the global financial architecture for the 21stcentury… Power dynamics and constraints on global cooperation in today’s world make problems more difficult to solve. But solutions are not impossible. And we can start now'. — ANTÓNIO GUTERRES

Very good points about bitcoin. Be your own custodian of your own money. Price of bitcoin in November 2022 – $15k
    Price of bitcoin June 2023 – 30k.
Its value has doubled in 6 months. More and more ppl are figuring out whats coming down the line with CBDC's.
    Go figure 🤔
More ppl turning to bitcoin as a means of payment and or an investment vehicle !

  43. @christophernewcombe9524

Surely Farage's informed & vocal opposition to CBDCs is a factor in the banks' vendetta against him. Probably a bigger factor than his key role in achieving the Brexit vote.

Thing is the fleet street letter is to expensive at £199 a year. Its alot of money for people just about eating to invest in and there are no guarantees. The thing that makes me laugh is that Nigel could easily give us all a few free tips to get us going on the markets. He is an expert in investment. Me my daughter are really struggling. I want to invest so gov cant touch my money. I dont want to live in a system like china's and i think we the people would ever except this.

very depressing news, heard about this recently and looking into it now, normally i roll my eyes at today's news but this affects us all, there will be mass protests when this is introduced, worse than france's recent one about retirement age increase. the vid of the chancellor announcing CBDC tellingly has comments off, so i left a comment about it on their latest vid (about economy) but what's the point everywhere it's discussed people are angry about it yet if they want to do it they will…wtf is this desperation from a powerful country

Watch as Will Kensington expresses concern about the state of the UK, arguing that Downing Street is no longer a place of power but has instead become Britain’s most expensive Airbnb.

This comes as Andy Burnham is set to become the UK’s seventh Prime Minister in a decade, with seemingly no one challenging the “King of the North” for the country’s top job.
