Honestly! Who thinks that the world cup in Qatar wasn't corruption? Who thinks that the world cup has to be organized in winter just so that the oil sheiks money can feed the corrupt FIFA.
At least give us the illusion back that this beautiful sport is clean! I don't care who follows him he has to take responsibility what's done. They went too far with Qatar. That place is not for sport in summer and in winter theres championships, cups going on.  Changing every schedules just so they can fill their pockets with corrupt money? No!

He had to say that, to protect himself, even if it doesn't change anything to the issue. He represents european football and most europeans don't tolerate corruption, unlike peoples from banana republics and oligarchies who are used to it.

Highly unlikely that Platini and UEFA will have any effect. It will be up to the individual FAs to act. Platini is as soft as a pussy, his threats are laughable. What I'd like to see are the fans and football supporters over the world forming an alliance to rid us of Blatter, FIFA, and all of the corrupt football related organisations the world over. I also think that the FIFA sponsors should pull out of future deals, and until that happens let's have a highly public campaign to make their major sponsors embarrassed to be associated with thieves!

Australia has finally broken ranks with the Asian confederation voting block & will not vote for Sep Blatter at the upcoming Presidential vote. It's time for other National confederations to break their voting-block nexus's that keep the corrupt FIFA officials in their positions & vote for significant change within FIFA. If Blatter did not know about corruption at the highest levels of FIFA, then he should stand down; if he did know about corruption within FIFA & did nothing then he should stand down; if he himself is involved in corruption within FIFA then he should stand down. Either way, there is no future for FIFA with Blatter leading it.

I'm English, after the World Cup bidding I was abit miffed we didn't get it, but I'll live, but I have been a very strong supporter of other countries winning this great opportunity, but looks like I have been kicked in the teeth, how the hell does a small oil rich country called Qatar get the rights? (I know an old story) but money talks in this world!

Platini is no better. Please hand FIFA over to the FA they will clean it up, at least in the FA they deal with issues quickly, regardless if you agree with the decision, and for the most part they do a good job. Please shut down this Mafiosi club called FIFA.

How much did the Jordanian Prince pay america to eliminate the competition for the FIFA presidential election? If america wanted to clear up corruption they should start with the lobbyists in their senate

Platini is also corrupt to the core, they should also start investigating him. Even after Blatter leaves, another corrupt leader would end up replacing him. FIFA and the other football organizations have become a revolving door for corrupt individuals. What gives FIFA president the right to serve all these years? The first thing they should do is change the rules and limit their terms. They should also make it public how much money they earn. Sepp Blatter has been hiding how much money he makes. Old dirty swamp rat, he is almost 80 years old and still wants to remain the president. Drag him to the closest nursing home and lock him their.

Blatter feels too safe since we do not have a special regulation for FIFA but the Swiss Government is preparing a new law, till now FIFA is regarded as Non Profit Organisation and does not pay  tax on their annual turnover of One Billion Francs
just a contribution of 14 million Francs. He had protecting hand of Swiss Peoples Party member and feels  untouchable like a God. However, the sponsors have to take also their responsibility and stop investing in FIFA for a while.

Trump demands 20% toll on cargos passing through strait of Hormuz | BBC News

Published

on

President Donald Trump has said the US is reinstating a naval blockade of Iranian ports and will impose a 20% charge on all cargo shipped through the Strait of Hormuz following days of escalating strikes between the two countries.

He said this would stop “Iran’s ships or customers” from entering or leaving the key oil shipping route, but “all other countries will have fair and open use of the Strait”.

Iran’s foreign minister later said whoever provides safe passage “should be compensated for this service”, but Iran would remain the strait’s “GUARDIAN” – using Trump’s word.

Tehran and Washington clashed over the strait’s control after exchanging strikes in the region overnight and on Monday.

The US said it carried out strikes against military targets in Iran, targeting air defence systems, coastal radars, and missile and drone sites. Iran said it responded by striking US military bases in Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain, and radars in Oman.

US launches more strikes on Iran and resumes naval blockade of ports | BBC News

Published

on

The US military said it was carrying out a new wave of strikes on targets in Iran. It said the aim of the attacks was to degrade Iran’s ability to attack shipping in the strait of Hormuz. It came ass the US Navy resumed its blockade of Iran’s ports.

Iran said that control of the strait of Hormuz was required for its national security and it will exercise sovereignty over the key shipping lane, whatever the cost.

President Trump announced that he was scrapping a plan he had announced a day earlier, for placing a 20% toll or tariff on all cargos passing through the strait of Hormuz.
