Prime Minister Boris Johnson speaks a lot about “levelling up” a lot – with it being a favourite topic at yesterdays Conservative Party conference. The issue is that it’s hard to tell what it actually means, besides being a pretty effective catchphrase and slogan. So in this video we dive into what Johnson said about levelling in in yesterday’s conference speech and what it actually is… if anything.

"Levelling up" turned out to be vapid Conservative nonsense, to be consumed by ignorant low-information voters, by a known established liar.

Levelling up means simply to improve things economically so that everything is equal. So if something needs funding, then they get it. It's utter nonsense.

I have not played any Mario brother games but outside of their specifically RPG titles i do not believe they have a character level….
Oh he has some sort of quantifier that is so diluted it is basically meaningless.

So politics – bunch of fancy sounding lies veiling some sort of intended exploitation of the citizens.

'Leveling up' is the same tory smoke and mirrors bulls*it as 'trickle down' was….see how you can't stand for both…that's how phoney and pathetic the shameless Tory party position is.

Does Labour actually support decriminalising drug dealing? I thought the debate was more about drug users since making it a civil offence means they are more likely to seek help provided it's available.

German reunification 30 years ago was the llimptus test, East Germany was in rack and ruin in comparison to West Germany, the north of England is in a similar state in comparison to the south, Germany has spent about €2000B and is spending more, anyone who has been to Germany can see this, here with this government and the finances they can afford expect about 1% of the German spend, with 0.5% of the results.

By "levelling up" do you mean increasing house prices massively in some parts of the UK to match the already ridiculously high prices in London and the South East?

So it's Jackanory time with Boris and his Tory mob again!

"Leveling up" has been done before  in the late 1990s under Labour when they attempted to repair the Conservative-led deindustrialisation of the 1980s.

The 1998 New Deal for Communities and the National Strategy for Neighbourhood Renewal channelled £4bn of public money into similar areas for similar reasons. Subsequently, the Tories have reversed any progress in that area with their miserly cost cutting and tax reductions.

The Tories have kept in power by telling everyone, especially multinational corporations, you don't have to pay taxes.

Is there any wonder that the whole country is on its arse?

    Tell us another story, Boris.

    Levelling up.
What it means is that the North will take it's share of the South's problems.
So, be ready for an influx of folks that cannot be housed in the larger Cities, and along with that, a soar in house prices and gentrification (yeah, Urban Renewal).
Locals will eventually be priced out of areas that their families lived in for generations.

    ……….as if it's not tough already……………………..!
