US hits ‘dozens’ of Iranian sites in strikes, as Iran targets US bases in region | BBC News
The US said it has hit “dozens” of Iranian military targets in overnight attacks, in response to Iran hitting commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
The military said it struck “air-defense systems, coastal radar sites, missile and drone capabilities, and small boats”, using aircraft, ships, and drones – including “one-way attack sea drones for the first time”.
“The Strait of Hormuz is a vital maritime corridor for global trade,” the US military said. “Iran does not control it”.
In response, Iran said it targeted US bases in Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait and also radar systems in Oman.

Trump demands 20% toll on cargos passing through strait of Hormuz | BBC News
President Donald Trump has said the US is reinstating a naval blockade of Iranian ports and will impose a 20% charge on all cargo shipped through the Strait of Hormuz following days of escalating strikes between the two countries.
He said this would stop “Iran’s ships or customers” from entering or leaving the key oil shipping route, but “all other countries will have fair and open use of the Strait”.
Iran’s foreign minister later said whoever provides safe passage “should be compensated for this service”, but Iran would remain the strait’s “GUARDIAN” – using Trump’s word.
Tehran and Washington clashed over the strait’s control after exchanging strikes in the region overnight and on Monday.
The US said it carried out strikes against military targets in Iran, targeting air defence systems, coastal radars, and missile and drone sites. Iran said it responded by striking US military bases in Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain, and radars in Oman.

US launches more strikes on Iran and resumes naval blockade of ports | BBC News
The US military said it was carrying out a new wave of strikes on targets in Iran. It said the aim of the attacks was to degrade Iran’s ability to attack shipping in the strait of Hormuz. It came ass the US Navy resumed its blockade of Iran’s ports.
Iran said that control of the strait of Hormuz was required for its national security and it will exercise sovereignty over the key shipping lane, whatever the cost.
President Trump announced that he was scrapping a plan he had announced a day earlier, for placing a 20% toll or tariff on all cargos passing through the strait of Hormuz.

I suffer from some level of ptsd, i grew up in a gang infested neighborhood, from a young age i developt a gangster mentality, music played a big role on my outlook on life and the way i carried myself, i've been shot in the stomach, i've been shot at a few times from distances shorter than a couple yards away simply for driving on the wrong street, i've been jumped, beat up, chased through houses with an AX, stepping outside of my house and hearing the screams of families who just got their sons/brothers/fathers killed, seing dead friends laying on the street covered in blood, i tell my family about this "ptsd" i think that i have but to them im just crazy and need to snap out of it since it all happened long ago and im grown, i'm 25 now, i havent been in that environment since i was 18, but it still haunts me… im paranoid everywhere i go, i drive keeping a big gap from the car im driving behind or next to just in case i have to make a getaway , i have to be watching every car that surrounds me or passes by me to see who is driving what theyre doing and making sure they dont pose a threat to me, i cannot sit anywhere with my back facing the door, walking at night time has me on full alert/panic mode, i avoid certain places and i do not exit my vehicle before looking around first making sure everything seems okay first, if i even sence that something isnt right i leave the area no questions asked, i'm always vigilant, its hard explaing it to normal people because they look at you crazy, they just dont know. im tired and sick of always having the feeling like i need to be armed, i hate being alert and on my toes everywhere i go, i can never enjoy the moment because i feel something can happen at any moment and i need to be ready, if i catch someone staring at me i nodd my head at them as a form of respect if they dont nodd back i presieve them as a threat and all of my attention is on them with my hand on it ready to go, i play it off by just looking straight but my side eye is on them. Ive changed alot, i dint dress the same, i stopped shaving my head and my hair is now long, i go to college, i try my best to avoid conflict or drama or big crowds, road rage has been really challenging for me.. people that want to talk hard while driving not knowing what i have in my hand can end their life…its taken absolute power to hold back from losing my cool, i have things to lose now, and people i cannot let down, but everyday is a battle, i pray that some day i'll find peace.

This is a product of the Labour government of the 90,s bringing African refugees to England. All those kids that came over are now men and creating havoc and mayhem on our streets. Enoch Powell's rivers of blood speech has come true. They now need to be deported after they have served their prison sentence. Britain has built a rod off their own back and doesn't know how to deal with this problem. I'm black by the way.

We need to stop demonising our young people that would be a start. Stop excluding them from society, give them hope, show them their lives are not a waste give them opportunity to do so. The problem is no-one wants to address the root causes as usual. The knife is the means and the stabbing victim is outcome but it's more complex than that many factors are the cause of the action so why are we not addressing these. We can increase stop and search, be tough on crime as is the Tories ignorant way of approaching these problems and continue banging our heads over and over against a brick wall. Or we can address the issues around poverty, deprivation, trauma, abandonment, poor education, unemployment, lack of opportunity, lack of social services that these young people are dealing with on a daily basis.

Gang violence is our responsibility it's our choice no one can force you to do anything no one's putting a gun to your mum's head asking you to get active.. we all know someone going through yet we do nothing that's on us & we won't learn the damages till it's our kids on the stretcher screaming our names bleeding out everywhere and that is Just the fact of it there is no "system" that can affect us as such there's only our decisions .. your mindset can save you, set you free or end you permanently.

This was a very informative video. People often assume that gang violence does not have mental health repercussions and the sad reality is that the have a lot and the sad thing is that, because of the cause of these issues, a lot of these people get ignored or told that they deserved it. Regardless of whether or not they were the perpetrators or victims, does it not make more sense to first deal with these issues before they continue to manifest and possibly further damage the person and society? Don't get me wrong, if they are perpetrators, they should pay for their crime but if they do not get help, at least those who want it, you will have a situation where criminals are just being put in a time out.
Looking at the victims, the term 'gang violence' for a lot of people is like a dirty stain and some people will judge you or decide that you do not deserve sympathy or to get help simply because you have been touched by this form of violence. Additionally, all this separationist talk (Africans do this, Jamaicans under-perform, etc), stop right now. A lot of societies are multicultural and multi racial. That is not going to change. You truly want a better society? Understand that even these people who you consider inferior are humans and most of them are on survival mode. Psychiatric assistance and community support is the way to deal with this, not rejection and hatred.
