Vintage in Pills YVES SAINT LAURENT Spring 2005 Paris – Fashion Channel
Stefano Pilati’s debut for Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche introduced a fresh direction through updated proportions and a focus on daywear.
The collection featured short tulip skirts gathered at the waist, rounded shoulders, and peplum jackets, often paired with wide patent leather belts. Polka-dot motifs appeared on raincoats and suits, while footwear included high suede loafers with oversized tassels in bold colors.
Daywear dominated, with structured yet wearable silhouettes. For evening, Pilati introduced ruffles and flounces in taffeta and chiffon, with flamenco influences seen in layered movement and fluid shapes.
