Chronic illness is that at all-time high. Fertility is tanking. Young people aren’t even having kids. Mental health is collapsing, and everyone’s pointing at different causes: social media, food, stress, strains, government experiments, you name it…

They’re not wrong, but they’re missing the bigger picture

Here’s what I actually think is happening

We’ve built an entire civilization that runs against human biology. We live indoors under artificial light, we eat food engineered in labs, we scroll for hours before bed, we’re isolated behind screens while calling it “connection!” we’re overstimulated, unders slept, and chronically, inflamed, and our bodies are starting to say no

Four New Zealand MPs who visited Taiwan last month have been banned from entering China, Hong Kong, and Macau for a year.

National’s Maureen Pugh, Labour’s Duncan Webb, ACT’s Laura McClure and NZ First’s David Wilson were visiting as part of a cross-party Parliamentary group to improve relations with Taiwan.

The Chinese embassy has said the ban could be reduced or waived with an apology.

It’s the first time China has imposed such a move– so does this mark a turning point in China–New Zealand relations, or is it a targeted, symbolic strike that won’t fundamentally change anything?
