Leader of Reform UK Nigel Farage MP has delivered a wide-ranging critique of Prime Minister Keir Starmer and the Labour Government, covering everything from immigration and policing to national security and Britain’s standing on the world stage. Speaking ahead of the G7 summit, Farage argued that Starmer’s leadership is under increasing pressure, claiming that the Prime Minister’s political future is in jeopardy. He also suggested that immigration is likely to be a major topic of discussion among world leaders, with growing international concern about border security and migration policy.

Farage reserved some of his strongest criticism the Government’s handling of illegal Channel crossings, describing the small boats crisis as a threat to national security. He argued that tougher enforcement measures, including detention and deportation, are needed to deter illegal migration. The Reform UK leader also accused the Government of failing to address what he described as “two-tier policing”, claiming that public confidence in law enforcement is being undermined by unequal treatment. In addition, he discussed concerns surrounding the safety of politicians, reflecting on the anniversary of the murder of Jo Cox and the increasingly hostile environment faced by public figures.

The interview also saw Farage address the grooming gangs scandal, which he described as one of the most damaging issues affecting Britain’s reputation internationally. He outlined how he would approach the issue if he were Prime Minister and defended Reform UK’s economic proposals, including policies designed to prioritise British workers in the labour market. Ending on a lighter note, Farage shared his thoughts on England’s chances at a future World Cup, expressing optimism about the national team’s prospects.
