Russian paratroopers and rockets attack Ukraine’s second-largest city Kharkiv – BBC News
The Ukraine military says Russian paratroopers have landed in the country’s second-largest city Kharkiv.
Meanwhile, Russia’s defence ministry says its troops have now captured the southern city of Kherson.
The city’s mayor says the city is still under Ukrainian control, but local authorities say Kherson is completely surrounded.

#TroopingTheColour #RoyalFamily #UKCrowds gathered in central London on Saturday for the Trooping the Colour ceremony to mark the King’s official birthday.
The parade is one of the biggest royal and military spectacles of the year, culminating with a Red Arrows flypast watched by the royals from the Buckingham Palace balcony.
It features more than 1,400 members of the armed forces as well as 200 horses and 400 musicians.
Alongside the King and Queen were the Prince and Princess of Wales with their children.

US President Donald Trump said he has cancelled strikes on Iran tonight and suggested that a deal to end the war was close at hand.
“Discussions and final points have been, in both concept and great detail, approved by all parties involved”, including the “US, Israel, Saudi Arabia”, Trump said on Truth Social.
In an earlier post, he vowed to hit Iran “very hard” on Thursday night.
Iran has not responded to Trump’s latest message – but earlier warned the US of an “endless quagmire that you will be stuck in for years”.
