Jamie should have won the last round, Mike hardly drank any while Jamie emptied it pretty much.

I can't believe how many times Ben confused capsicum and capsaicin

Can you guys please look for and use the ingredient “satans spit” in a hot challenge? I love spicy food and can handle 6 sprays on a 300gm steak ( 3 sprays per side) once the steak is cooked. Do not spray into anything that is still inside the oven or be prepared to be assaulted worse than pepper spray! A tiny 30ml bottle has 400 serves….
My last use was using a hot sauce called “the ripper” as a glaze on crispy chicken thighs and added 1 spray per thigh once caramelised. Delicious napalm chicken with a lasting heat.

In the last round Mike barely drank anything! Whereas Jamie drank most of his, so that’s a bit unfair.

  21. @WafflesRBLX

    January 28, 2024 at 1:06 am

Once again Jamie should have absolutely won, Mike singing forcibly shows he cannot handle it.

  22. @Ria-xl7kz

    January 28, 2024 at 1:06 am

Howz about a british chef vs an american chef. Because, a lot of people hate jamie oliver. Can british chefs really cook???

  23. @Ria-xl7kz

    January 28, 2024 at 1:06 am

This is elementary, my dear watson. If you want a real spicy challenge, find a thai chef/cook, a real one, & say you want tom yum & pad kaprao the thai spicy way. Or papaya salad. But thai national spicy level. Coz that's nothing to them. Try also the thai green curry, but thai level spicy.

  24. @gregwesterlund

    January 28, 2024 at 1:06 am

Perhaps they should be sitting side by side, would be fun to see them tease each other. Also def do the chefs and food team addition, perhaps even crowdsource the recipies

  25. @RetroMonkey1999

    January 28, 2024 at 1:06 am

Ben mispoke slightly when he was explaining the chemical that makes peppers hot. He said capsicum which is the genus peppers are in, it's capsaicin that makes them hot. I'm allergic to capsaicin and it's been a struggle my whole life to get people to understand that just because it's not hot to them means it's fine for me but it's not. I'll still get blisters on my tongue and mouth, occasionally my esophagus too. It's incredibly inconvenient. People sneak peppers into everything. I'll order hashbrowns and get a spicy potato hash. I'll order cornbread and it comes with unannounced jalapeños.. it's really rough when visiting my in laws in Texas.

@SortedFood I never get tired of rewatching the reaction videos. Here's a thought, what if you left someone alone with whatever they are testing (especially hot sauce) and just reacted from behind the monitors? I love having y'all in the room, but I'm very curious about how everyone would get on if no one was talking to them. Love all of you, hope you consider the idea, and thank you for all of your amazing content!

Laying down after eating hot food is a bad idea. Unless you want to go from a stomach ache to heart burn that feels like a heart attack.

  28. @aidi58

    January 28, 2024 at 1:06 am

I just watched this episode again. I just realised Mike sipped a lot less than Jamie did. That must surely count.

One of my all time favorite sorted moments is Jamie staring at the others, pink-faced, covered in tears, and very candidly and calmy saying, "I'm being let down, aren't i?"

  30. @Jabzor

    January 28, 2024 at 1:06 am

Jamie is hands-down the best at poker face lol. He's very good at maintaining his presence of mind

Tbf so is Mike.. I think this was mainly Barry's game to lose lol

    January 28, 2024 at 1:06 am

"Da Bomb" has a reputation that proceeds it. Never tried it, have only watched reactions. Habanero is in my comfort zone. Foods from extreme cold weather areas, like how the indigenous peoples from the most northern regions of the world. What came to mind was the whale blubber foods of Alaska (USA) but there must be so many more.

  39. @Timlagor

    January 28, 2024 at 1:06 am

I don't think Barry would have survived if Mike had thought to ask for more popcorn

  40. @RowanAuraz

    January 28, 2024 at 1:06 am

You had to drop "Da Bomb" didn't you?😂

  41. @Sir_Loin_Of_Beef

    January 28, 2024 at 1:06 am

hilarious. Also for the record da bomb is the worst hot sauce that's still on the market. That shit's hideous

  42. @ChrispyTaytor

    January 28, 2024 at 1:06 am

As an American, the intro made me laugh when he said they "knocked up" the dishes. As knocked up is a less polite way to say "pregnant" for any who don't know. So, the kitchen team impregnated the dishes. Unless that WAS the intention! Like these dishes are impregnated with spice! Hmmmm.

We Gave Our Kids TOTAL Control of the Food Shopping

Published

on

A 7-year-old just did our grocery shop… and Jamie & Mike have to turn it into a delicious meal.
Baz’s son Austin had TOTAL control in the supermarket – picking ingredients that absolutely shouldn’t go together (sweet, savoury, snacks, “why is that in the trolley?”). Then we revealed them to Jamie and Mike back in the Sorted kitchen with three rules:

✅Use EVERY ingredient Austin buys
✅Make a dish we’d actually want to eat
✅Survive the midway curveball bag that could ruin everything!

You’ll see Austin choosing items in-store, then we cut back to the kitchen as the lads scramble to form a plan, adapt on the fly, and somehow plate up something worthy of praise from not just Chef Ben but Austin himself.

Which ingredient would have broken your brain the most – and did the curveball bag make it better or worse?
