Poor Abe my ass! Japan never wanted the games in the first place. Now they are banning foreign spectators under the muse of Covid-19.

This will only make them look more xenophobic not less. This is not what the games are supposed to be about.

Keeping other countries from supporting their athletes & country isn't right. Do what other venues are doing to limit spectators. Your isn't helping itself here. :/

Japan.. How dare you tried to insist on Olympic to deceive the virus and make the world suffer. Only think of money money money. How can Japanese not protest on this gov? Abe has seized the power longer than prime minister in China.. worse than communism.

japan is the country for its royal family and some elite politicians not for the ppl.
they think it doesn't matter how many civilians die because they believe that they can keep the empire if the royal family and some elite politicians r safe.
the moto of japan during the WW2 was "die for the king!"
i was surprised when i found out some western ppl think it is COOL. ๐Ÿ™‚

Cyclone Idai: Flying over flooded Mozambique – BBC News

Published

on

As Mozambique counts the cost of Cyclone Idai, the ’s Africa editor Fergal Keane joined a helicopter flight over some of the worst-affected areas.

The pilot pointed towards the east across the expanse of brown water. “We are 15 miles from the sea,” he said, “but it feels as if we are right over it.” He was right. Below us, farmland that had been home to thousands of people had disappeared.

Charities say thousands of people are stranded by catastrophic flooding, clinging to roofs or stuck in trees.

About 300 people are confirmed dead in Mozambique Zimbabwe, but the toll is expected to rise.

A solitary killer whale, or orca, has been filmed hunting killing a great white shark in an “astonishing” attack off the coast of South Africa.

Scientists said it was “unprecedented” showed the exceptional predatory skills of killer whales.

Two orcas in particular off South Africa’s coast have been observed before working together to hunt and kill sharks, including great whites.

Dr Alison Towner, a marine biologist from Rhodes University in Grahamstown, South Africa, led the study.

“This caught us off guard,” said shark biologist Dr Towner.
